Demonstrably false.  Laughably so in fact.

Over the last three years, here are their stats next to each other:

Cam - 361 / 583, 62% completion.  12 TD (2%), 16 INT (2.7%)

Minsh - 542 / 857, 63% completion.  41 TD (4.8%), 12 INT (1.4%)

More stats?  Sure.  Cam over the last three years is around 6 air yards per attempt.  TEDDY BRIDGEWATER is averaging 7.2 - Minshew the same.

Statistically, it's not even close.

When you go to league wide opinion, it's the same.  The Eagles traded a draft pick for Minshew while Cam Newton was sitting on his couch.

I'm not saying Minshew is the answer.  I'm not even really advocating we chase him.  But people who cannot see that Cam is beyond DONE aren't playing with a full deck.

Don't quote me and give me a paragraph of bullshit. Cam had 21 TD last year with nothing on offense in NE. Gardner Minshew on NE last year wouldn't have had 21 TD - your stats don't tell the real story

The guy that got booed all year long in Chicago? Panthers fans will boo Dalton off the field and also boo when Darnold takes the field lol.

They booed Dalton because Nagy refused to play Fields.  We don't have that luxury here.  I would still not touch Dalton with a 10 foot pole.  Sadly, we are going to have to make Sam earn his money.  He's going to be the starter next year.

Cam, 30 TD last two seasons

Minshew, 20 TD

Yeah that's pretty much my point. Unless something magical happens whoever goes to the games is gonna boo until Rhule is gone. Or the stadium will be 60% opposing fans. If we had kept Teddy and taken Fields I think fans would have a little bit of patience but this "process" has been ridiculous from the get-go. Don't see Rhule ever living down his Slater evaluation either

Rhule's evaluation and explanation around OL decisions has been piss poor all season.  Brady should have been the LT starter all year, and then he should have just kept the Slater comments to himself.  Complete disaster.  Especially when successful OL evaluators around the league are saying arm length doesn't mean dick.

If anything I would go after Minshew!! He reminds me of Jake Delhomme!! I think he would bring energy to the team and play good enough to keep the offense in the game.. He has that moment to drop the ball in there!! Just think he would be a better gamble then of all these retread QBs

Jake was… Jake, due to in large prime Steve Smith ripping the league.

Maybe we could get Bill Callahan or Doug Marrone for OL coach since there is a connection from both to Gruden

Callahan is the Browns OL coach. It'd be a lateral move.

Marrone would be good.

Worth noting the Assistant OL Coach in Jacksonville was our own Tony Sparano, so there's that.

If Cam had nothing - what changed?  New England's leading receiver this year?  Jakobi Meyers.  Yep, there last year.  Leading rusher this year?  Damien Harris?  Yep, there last year.  QB this year?  Rookie.  I'll remind you, New England went from 27th in offense last year, with Cam, to 6th in offense this year.

Why was Cam on the couch?  It's really simple.  Because 32 teams decided they were better off with guys like Minshew, Bridgewater, TAYSOM FRAKKING HILL and Taylor Heinecke than signing Cam off the couch.

I love Cam.  What he did for our team.  I love the person he has become over the years.  He's grown as a man.  That's all you can ask of someone as a person.  But the bottom line is that the beatings took their toll and Cam is now a trick play.  He's not an NFL starter.

NE is a better team than they were last year. They decided to go with the rookie for the long term development. Who knows how Cam would have done in NE if he was the starter.

Ron Rivera has his own reasons for not signing Cam and T. Heineke is a good QB in his own right. I would still absolutely go with Cam over TB, Taysom Hill, or Minshew if we gave him a full offseason and offensive line that wasn’t complete dogshit.

And to be 💯 let’s not act like Cam still doesn’t deal with ignorant racism to this day. Even Rhule and Fitt went out of their way to say how hard Cam works as if it were a surprise to them. Rhule judged him the minute he walked in the door as HC.

I'm pretty sure Mac Jones did not have even one TD to a member of the 2020 Patriots

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
