Willis vs Corral

Is it the arm, the legs or the combo of both? Because it seems teams are a bit timid with Corral but I see his games, and he honestly seems like the best combo of ready, mechanics, and intangibles out of this crowd. However, word is scouting crews don’t even view them on the same tier.

And let us not forget Corral was consensus #1 before Pickett didn’t slow down.

Both have a curve with playbooks but I wonder is Corral’s supposed douchiness is a factor? I dunno, maybe we can get a convo going here.

We’re staring at these two before Young, CJ, Levis, Haener and Co. Why is Corral behind small-hands and Willis? Is he not as legit as let on?

I'm honestly not sure. I have Corral and Strong as my two favorites with Pickett then Ridder behind.

I'd be thrilled if we took Corral honestly.

I liked Ridder at the start but if you take a 10,000 ft look, I just find him awkward as f$ck. Flick thrower, and he fakes hero ball (that statement is a thread in its own right)

Same sentiment with Strong for different reasons. I see an awesome arm and knack for modern offenses and in-game decision making is great….but he is just not elusive. Not speaking to mobility, but elusiveness. Makes me nervous as hell. He belongs in NO

Agree on Ridder he is JAG.  I like Howell but I won’t lie if we took Willis I would be excited to see what he could become here

Corral is very talented, but he seemed to always be playing through injuries. He takes hits and doesn’t really have the frame to do so. Maybe he will change his style some in the NFL, but I kind of view him as injury prone before getting into the league. He has some of the better ball placement skills and is quick on his feet though. He is also a tough competitor (but that also led to him taking some hits).

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
