Yeah he would. No one is trading significant assets for a player on the last year of his deal unless they can agree to terms on an extension. If Lamar isn't willing to negotiate an extension, trade dead.

It would happen this year most likely, especially if the ravens are unable to extend him. It’s too risky going into the off-season , they could Franchise tag him, but he would be cheaper for competing teams to acquire him. They would only have to give up 2 1sts at max if was franchise tagged.

I would trade 6 and next years first in a second for him if he extends his contract with us.  He isn’t perfect but I wouldn’t miss a snap watching this team with that dude.

It blowsy mind folks can't see this. Classic example of the reality that QBs usually get more credit than they deserve when the team is doing well and more blame than they deserve when the team isn't doing well. Jimmy G is and was trash carried by a good team.

Foles... nah, he isn't good but that dude did capture lightning in a bottle during that run. He was a big reason why they won the SB. In the NFC CG and SB he threw for a combined 700+ yards and 6 TDs vs. only 1 INT whole completing roughly 70% of his attempts. That's ELITE play if only for a very brief yet pivotal period.

What I meant by that statement was because of that game teams looked at Foles differently and thought he was a franchise QB suddenly despite being a back up for years and, like you said, caught lightning in a bottle.

His regression started the year after, he wasn’t nearly as good the season after the Super Bowl as he was during that magical stretch. Then he was given a big contract by the Jags and he got injured, came back and played very poorly

Yes, he was amazing during that Super Bowl run, but teams saw a Super Bowl and thought he turned a corner and was now an elite QB. Instead of looking at the perfect situation Foles was in.

He fuging sucks, and at that price, did we not learn our lesson with Teddy or Darnold?  My God.  Just please stop.  Spend those picks on a mid-round rookie in the draft and you're still probably going to end up with a better player than Teddy, Darnold, or Love.

    • Tell me something I don’t know. I said right there in what you quoted I wasn’t optimistic. I said I could still be hopeful. Which ain’t the same but will have to do.  I have optimism regarding more compartmentalization aspects of the team. Some players. The good draft we had is cause for optimism. Maybe that Tepper is actually being less harmful. Maybe.  I had some for Canales but his meter is about 50% right now with me.  Etc
    • Got a little more juice in us this period. Gotta get these chances to start falling. Ducks and us keep getting these chippies that are missing. First team to start banging these in and I think the floodgates open.
    • The things that make people give up on him is that he is getting worse in terms of simple football things and he isn't improving on much in terms of being a WR. He has improved his drops but then he has increased his insanely boneheaded penalties. I mean, the dude has THREE false start penalties. That is the second most on the team.  Couple that with his obvious limitations in terms of field vision, agility, etc and you just start to wonder what there really is to even believe in. I'll put it this way, when such a notoriously terrible personnel management coach like Canales gives up on you, that's saying a lot. He has ridden more bums for longer than any of us care to remember.
