some of us called that one--since Atlanta picks #8, that means that it is unlikely they will attempt to leapfrog us for a QB in the draft---it would have cost them a third and fourth rounder to do so, fwiw.

Yeah, but we spent money this FA period. I am still expecting a QB at some point trade or FA.

Yeah, but that doesn't keep them from drafting one this year.  The 2-year deal is purely as a stopgap.

I had the exact same thought, Dave.  I think we are going to draft Pickett.   We could have gone after Baker (no), Jimmy G (no), Minshew (no)--not a lot of options left.  If we are certain, then sign the LT and lets roll em.

The options are getting thinner by the minute for a FA or trade.  Mayfield or Minshew are about the only ones I would be open to trading for.

"Pick 6" for a QB named "Pickett" is a little scary sounding...

Who knows with Rhule. He may be loving on Pickett right now. So the Falcons are probably out of the QB draft this year. Saints still eyeing Willis if u you read the tea leaves (back up Winston and sit for a year or two). Leaves J.G.(dont want). That leaves Baker...or draft picks. Vet options getting mighty thin.
