If this is true Matt Rhule has single handedly destroyed this franchise. He better win 10 or more games this season or he will be the most hated sports figure in North Carolina and South Carolina history.

Since most root for the Steelers and Packers from SC. Not sure they care.

People should be cautioned that the Temple heavy guys from his reign are now all in the league, so now his attention will turn to guys he recruited heavily to and for Baylor.  There was a bit of lag but methinks we'll get some Baylor add-ons this year. Pitre, Thornton, Edner, Smith, JT Woods.

I'll go ahead and say Kalon Barnes & Trestan Edner could likely wind up here as UDFAs

If it were created by the marketing team, then why haven't we seen it in... you know... marketing?

Why is it that the first time we see it is in a video taken by a draft prospect?

This plus it feels like I've heard Matt Rhule talk about "brand" before.

maybe bc there is more to be designed and unveiled before going outward with marketing.  You always start internally before going outward facing. I work in digital marketing, so I am not pulling poo out of my ass on this one.

It's very possible this could be the begining of the franchise rebrand. That would include, new logo, new uniforms, new slogans, etc.

"The Brand" could be the core principle that they will design everything around. Im just guessing here of course, bc the only insight I have is the results from the user testing we did for Tepper Sports.

Would a marketing team come up with a new team slogan on their own?

I have a hard time believing somebody in marketing one day just decided, "Hey, you know what? Let's come up with something to replace 'keep pounding'" 😕

They user test the current slogan and establish persona types they are attempting to bring into the stadium and fandom. It's very likely that the Panthers (along with many other teams in the league) want to appeal to a younger audience. You then create a longer runway for customer stickiness to your product.

If you attract young fans, then you have fans for 25+ years.

If your speculation is correct, then starting off with "The Brand" does not have me excited for a potential new logo or uniforms, etc.

it's possible that it isnt for us, haha. It's potentially for a younger audience. They already have us "old folks" hoooked. I mean poo, most of us have been fans for decades. They arent worried about losing us. They may lose a few, but they wont lose the many of their existing fan base.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
