You have to think Kochetkov is headed to Raleigh. The organization is starting to suffer some goalie injuries so there will be some rearranging.

Most likely Freddie to IR (Canes), Lyon to IR (Wolves), Kochetkov to the Canes, LaFontaine to the Wolves (for good), Warm to the Wolves, Wells stays with the Admirals, and the Admirals probably sign a PTO goalie. I’ll also note that Makiniemi has also been out for quite some time (Wolves).

So I turned the game off before the third period as I was dead tired and it wasn’t worth watching. What happened to Freddie and Staal?

Jordo made a pass and Makar gave him a viscious shoulder that rode up and Staal's head snapped back a little. Legal hit, yes, but it was a little high and got some of Staal's chin and head as well. He was on his knees for a bit and got to the bench, but when in the defense side door and straight down the tunnel.

Anderson caught an edge going into a butterfly and probably did some knee or ankle damage.

With how ass Freddie has been lately it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s been hurt this back half of the year. After all he did miss a bunch of games in the middle part of the year.  His game has fallen off a cliff.

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
