Maybe but it's better then the 22 class

PFF basically said Rattler is the best QB in the class. His situation caused his stock to fall. Judging by how Riley is handling NIL etc I’m gonna go ahead and say if you’re a QB and get on the wrong side of him then you’re done.

I think Leary and Rattler are incredibly underrated right now.

But…it’d be nice to get JSN and not have to worry about QB bc Corral turns out to be a stud.

Yes, I'm a South Carolina fan and would love him to turn the corner this year and in turn be drafted by us, but typically, some one transferring out cause the lost their job mid season doesn't usually translate to that success. He is talented though so we will see.

Baker did pretty well at OU.

I didnt remember the reason he got benched and I looked at his stats and they were not bad at all.  Was Williams just that much better then rattler and it was a no brainer or what were the facts of this situation.

Idk all of the facts. PFF did a story about it and basically said that personalities clashed. I’m sure it’s not all on Riley. Maybe Rattler wasn’t taking to being coached up on his mistakes. He had some ego stuff off the field. But they showed clips and stats for his arm strength, throwing on the run and at difficult angles and the throws he’s capable of making are Mahomes-ish. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if by the end of the 2023 pre draft process he moves up to QB2 behind Stroud. As far as physical capability he and Stroud are tier 1. Everyone else is second fiddle.

His situation? The previous three OU QBs produced two Heisman trophies, two #1 overall draft picks, and another Heisman finalist and a 2nd round draft pick out of a guy tossed to the wayside at Bama. There's no better college situation for a QB than OU. Hell, there's not even a close second IMO.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
