Myles Turner talks heating up

Myles is not my 1st option(Mo Bamba, Nic Claxton, Mark Williams and others) but he is solid when he plays. I just wish we went a lil younger but I'd take a shot of trying to get Tj Warren and sending out Gordon somehow. Tj Warren if finally  healthy, could be a steal for 10 mil per year average. 406388089_Screenshot_20220620-093713_SamsungInternet.thumb.jpg.4ad66f0cd04c158040ec569ea9f29450.jpg

TBH, if we can't get Duren at 13, I hope that's all it takes to get Myles.  13th plus salary for Myles...  after that, I really don't care.  Although Williams' size is intriguing, he is much of the same dinosaur that we've had issues with forever now, and those guys tend to get exposed when running into the better run orgs in the league (i.e., the ones we aspire to be if we ever want to win)...  so, no thanks.

Williams type players are still valuable in this league and he would be an answer to a lot of our defensive deficiencies but I do agree that Duren or a trade for Turner would be better. But if we cannot and we have to settle fir Williams then that will be fine. We don’t have an issue scoring. We are one of the higher scoring teams in the league. We have to get some bodies capable of defending.

Would much rather try and package 13 and 15 to move up a few spot to ensure we get Duren than take on a year rental for Myles Turner coming off a foot injury. Don’t want to give up assets for an injury prone big man.

Yeah Myles Turner isn't the answer unless we get him for very little. The last thing this franchise needs is another guy who can't stay off the bench. Make a run at Ayton or just look to the draft.

Yeah it’s an unlikely possibility but I would be on board with taking both Duren and Williams if the opportunity presented itself if I’m being honest

Hard pass for me.

yes he plays a big position of need for us

yes he is a solid to really good player.

but he has 1 year left on his deal and as injury prone as Gordon

low key, I want to trade up for Sharpe.  If not take Williams and bpa

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
