That was his big concern coming out of college. That much weight on the knees and ankles is just brutal. I was 375 at one time and in a poo ton of pain and once I dropped 125, the relief was immense.

Still can't believe he was drafted that high but then again the Jets.... He's a much crappier version of Jeff Otah.... (who was listed at 335 but played at like 350 and showed up to camp at like 380).

We have entered the era of NFL super teams being made in FA/trade....

Bills are gonna be the next IMO.... Bucs and Rams used it to take the last two SBs getting elite level "mercenary" players in their early 30s.

I feel like it’s starting to turn towards having 2 to 3 years of elite talent then blowing everything up once your star QB asked for more than 50 million a year… Gone are the days of 8 to 9 winning seasons in a row it’s all about the now and the super bowl win

I kind of feel the opposite look at the recent SB champions 50m is the new 20m...

The Cheifs and the Seahawks are the only teams in the last 15 years to win a SB with a QB on a rookie deal.... the eagles did somehow manage to win the SB Foles starting.

You have 25m a year WRs now....

I think going forward these teams handing out 50m QB contracts will regret it though.

    • Yea after the early games where I liked all the favorites, not alot I see this afternoon that I'm sure about or like.  Will maybe do some 2nd half bets if I can get away from computer for work to watch games and see trends.   I do think Clemson beats Carolina pretty easily tonight.  Clemson would've won in Chapel Hill if Bogavac didn't have an out of body experience and turn into JJ Reddick the final 3 minutes of that game.
    • EDGE Jaelan Phillips signs with Carolina Panthers 2025 PFF Grade: 74.2 2025 PFF WAR: 0.09 Contract: 4 years, $120 million PFF Projected Contract: 1 year, $15 million PFF Deal Grade: Below Average This deal grade could change depending on the guarantees, but the contract is a big risk for the Panthers, given how much time Phillips has missed in his career because of injuries. At his best, he can be a top-15 to top-20 edge defender in the NFL. He ranked tied for 26th in PFF overall grade at the position last year but played fewer than 500 snaps in each of the previous two years.
    • LB Devin Lloyd signs with Carolina Panthers 2025 PFF Grade: 88.4 2025 PFF WAR: 0.24 Contract: 3 years, $45 million PFF Projected Contract: 3 years, $48 million PFF Deal Grade: Good After two years as a good linebacker, Lloyd became one of the game’s best in 2025 by producing an 85.2 PFF run-defense grade and a 78.9 PFF coverage mark. Carolina lands a much-needed playmaker over the middle after placing 29th in PFF overall grade at linebacker, and to add Lloyd below market projection is terrific.
