Don't fire Fox, just cut Delhomme.

Fox isn't the one out there throwing INTs. He has assembled a competetive team every year he's been in Carolina (even this year). The only problem the Panthers have is Delhomme. A QB that scores more points for the other team just...he deserves to be cut. Fox doesn't need to go quite yet, but Delhomme needs to retire.

Who has stuck with Delhomme and hasn't found a better option at QB?

That's it.

I'm a fan of Fox, but by sticking with Delhomme when he's playing this badly, he is just as much at fault for this horrible season. Do we really trust Fox to find a quarterback who can play better than Jake? He's had an awful long time to do just that, and has failed miserably.

I agree, the majority of the time our receivers were open, the right plays were called. With a qb a lot of those plays would have been successful.

Only thing is I want a passing and running team not just a running team, Fox is so conservative he is extremely predictable. A new QB might open up his perspective, but probably not.

If there is only one change made it has to be a new QB thats for sure...I hope.

The Delhomme situation is exhibit A of Fox's inability to adapt to change when it's needed (see also Dan Morgan/Will Witherspoon and Deshaun Foster/DeAngelo Williams). Not to beat a dead horse, but his stubborn loyalty to his "guys" isn't always in the best interest of the team. That's a problem, and I don't see Fox waking up one day any different.

With this showing today I dont see how anyone wants to keep Fox. Our Defense played lights out today and we would have won if Fox had enough since to yank Delhomme. Im sorry I dont care how bad Moore might be we will never know till you put him in. The fact is Moore has never been given a shot to succeed in this Offense.

No, I'd fire Fox because he continues to allow this situation to exist. If I'm the coach, theres no way that my starting QB will throw 5 int in a game w/o being pulled. Moore help to save our season a few years ago. I'm not saying that Moore is the answer, I am saying that we need a QB change. I'm watching the Steelers and Ravens right now and watching how well Dixon is playing, I find myself comparing every QB to Delhomme, and just about all of them are better or at least playing better. Delhomme is overthrowing Moose w/no pressure on him. Even if Smith ran the wrong route on that 1st int against the Jets, the ball was thrown at his feet, if he had ran the right route would he have caught it? Jake sucks and needs to have been benched a long time ago, because he haven't, Fox needs to be fired.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
