QB competition or not, last year, Sam started off well and ended terrible. He probably did as well as most QB's would've done behind our o-line last year. But, we're figuring out our new o-line now. So there should be a solid QB competition for QB1 and then figure out 2 & 3. I don't care who wins, I want the best QB available to us to Start!

I'm not sure what Baker was doing there? That looked intentional to me.

Interestingly, the Darnold and Corral misses were almost identical, except that Corral was a laser, but location-wise they were almost in the same spot, and both were very close to the target, off by the thickness of the football about.

Baker wasnt aiming for the net.  There is a dude in blue behind and to the right of the net he threw it to and the dude caught it.   I'm pretty sure anyway.

I tore my labrum and had to have the same surgery Baker had and it is INCREDIBLY painful. I've had 3 back surgeries, and the shoulder surgery recovery was by far more painful.

Never had surgery, but have had shoulder issues since my 20s.  Played a whole basketball season in Juco with a sprain/strain and it was excruciating.  So, the fact he was playing football with one is insane.  I can't imagine how bad the surgery must feel.

Lets just put it this way - a multi-level spinal fusion was like a walk in the park next to the labrum surgery.

It's confusing with them alternating QB's but I heard TMJ and Shi's names more today than Saunders.

I think it'll shake out where TMJ and/or Shi take the primary slot reps by the time the reg season gets here.  Much like it's been with other positions, Rhule is playing his favorites first so it's their position to lose...  he's been pushing Saunders since last preseason.  Nothing against him, but from what I've seen of him, I don't see any possibility he hangs onto that spot.

I like your take.

No thanks to both.😂  Funny enough, I recently just found out, after tweaking my back yet again while doing squats at the gym, that I have a degenerative disc in my lower/lumbar area.  It seems we are two peas in a pod.😂😂😂

Damn, son!  😂  I have also did a good number on myself over the years with sports, but I've been able to avoid the surgery stuff and hope to keep it that way.  Best of luck to you though, brother!  Wishing you a routine procedure and quick and speedy recovery!

Get out of here with that rational thinking.

Good lord the panic in here is maddening.  You should know by now that even if Sam comes out of camp the starter it will only last until he throws his first INT, which should be before halftime of game one. Baker will come out after the half as the guy and the rest as they say will be history.

Calm down you Nancy's and watch the show. Save some hysteria for when Sam starts at least.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
