He's smaller and more agile, he prolly has better footwork overall but pales in actual blocking ability.. gets the looks they want in the run game because he gets to that second level.  Boze will be fine and cemented with the 1s.

In all fairness, he was a lot better at C than G. He sucked ass as a guard.

That’s one that Baker will want back but everything else sounded promising today.

I keep toying with the idea of Luvu at MLB but his coverage isn’t great and he’s so good at setting the edge…

Lol… no one has set the edge, dude is fullll of poo.

I still think it’s a facade. They know who’s starting week 1. Want to keep them pushing each other. But it seems like Darnold is starting to fall behind on the field and mentally (not playbook-wise, but looking lax and checked out)

    • He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats.
    • Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's.  As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it?  I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
    • Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually.  Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
