Other Week 2 Preseason games

Rams didn't look great but they didn't play any starters. They better hope Stafford is okay because Wolford ain't it.

Texans looked good. David Mills looks like an NFL QB, but again, the Rams sat everyone.

Seattle has the look of a team that will be in the running for a top 5 draft pick. The QB situation is worse than ours and their defense can't tackle. This feels like Carroll's swan song.

Chicago looked better than I thought. Fields looked okay.

It seems like all the other teams are treating the 2nd preseason game as the old 3rd game. Basically the regular season walk through where the starters play the most they'll play in the preseason. Meanwhile, neither of the guys supposedly competing for our starting QB role see a snap in this game. 😂

I don’t think Russ, Brady, Stafford, Rodgers, or Winston played just off the top of my head.

I know Brady has something weird going on. Didn’t realize Stafford is hurt?

Yeah, he's nursing a shoulder or elbow injury or something. It's a nagging injury on his throwing arm. Definitely something to watch over the course of the season in terms of contenders.

Because the Rams backup QB looked really bad last night .

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
