I doubt this injury.  I think it is a move by Rhule to save PJ from being cut.  For whatever reason Rhule did not want Corral to see action this year.  It showed in his treatment of Corral from the get go.

If we end up in the top of the draft we will draft another QB and have wasted a 3rd round pick for Corral.

Rhule has turned this franchise into a freaking circus.

He was clearly injured on the play so.....cool conspiracy theory you have there.

Although I doubt it happens, I hope that we actually cut PJ and pick up some other teams cut to try and develop. PJ is never going to be worth wasting a roster spot on. He's reached his ceiling and it sucks balls.

Or just carry 2 QBS..

It was called last week... Bull poo...

Yeah, I mean I joked about Corral getting a phantom injury to stash him on IR myself in a few posts, but he was obviously injured. You could tell right after the play in the way he reacted and walked off the field.

Don't doubt he was injured but to the extent that he going on IR for the season.

Rhule was awful quick to send him to the IR considering we still have 3 weeks until the beginning of the season.

Are you familiar with Lisfranc injuries?  I'm going to guess not.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
