Yeah, I think the talks stalled-Philly cut their S after this deal went through.  A lotta mouth in this player, so we shall see who gets the best end of the deal in the long run.

my thoughts exactly. I'd even cut Haynes and give his spot to Turay in order to also be able to sign one of covington or watts. Ravens just released another decent edge in means tho he's 31 i'd rather try for turay

I think a better wording would be he doesn't like big personalities.   And I don't think that really is that odd big picture in world of coaching. 

but coaching in the NFL I think largely means you need a HC who can effectively manage that type of player.  And there clearly is a limit on how many you can have around. Coaches love a vocal leader like a Jordan Gross.  I mean, Gross would be a textbook ideal player. 

Cam? 89?  Those are big personalities.   You can't have too many of them on a team.  And frankly, they do cause extra headaches.   But elite and special teams often find a way to manage those types.  I don't equate Baker to as big of a personality as those 2 but he trends more that way than really anyone else Rhule has seen.  I really don't count Cam coming in a for a couple games last season.

$1.7M for Turay, not sure if claiming a guy means picking up their whole salary

      yeah their arms might have been skinny  but look how broad their shoulders are & the length of their arms & maybe just maybe that  length × width has alot to do with the velocity on the football moreso than the muscle in their biceps & forearms look at Elway & Jeff George they both had a cannon for an arm & also had similar builds to Eli & Matt Ryan I am not even sure that muscles have alot to do with velocity sure some but no not alot...just saying

      No matter how much he ever bulks up, he'll never have an above average starting NFL QB arm strength, not even close.  There are 32 starting QB's at any given time, he'll never have better than the 16th strongest arm, he'll be lucky to ever crack the Top 25 in any season of arm strength and it's something everyone knew going into it.   The problem is that it was significantly weaker than even expected and his super brain couldn't make up for it like everyone said it could.
