Yeah, F the Ravens. I had to go 4 years without a team and just watched my favorite Ohio State players on Sundays like Eddie George and Joey Galloway.

I'm in a similar place now not wanting to root for a sexual predator at QB. So I'll root for Baker and Ohio State players when I watch games but I won't watch the Browns games because I don't want to go to a place that I can't turn back from in case I ever get the opportunity to turn back.

I think Baker will play well if the offensive scheme is smart. I'm not real confident in that since he hasn't been there long and coaches usually make players adapt to their system and don't adapt their system to suit their QB but I guess we'll see.

I can respect that although rooting for Baker now that he isn't a brown and Ohio State alum makes for an odd bedfellow.

Browns will rely on their run game, which is pretty freaking good and was a weakness for our D last year. They will run it until we make them stop. Probably won’t see much in their passing game unless they get down big.

Their D will of course target our new LT and LG. there aren’t many better than Miles Garrett. TE’s will have to help out.

If you can't count on your RB2 to get you a couple of first downs then you don't need him on the depth chart.

Odds are the second string RB relies more on the OL than the starter. Odds are CMC breaks a tackle that most backs in the league wouldn't, if that's the difference between a win and punting the ball to the other team it seems like an easy choice.

Now there are times to rest your starter. It depends on the time in the game and the score. There is a good chance fresh legs late can be an advantage.

Then again, a player can have 40 touches and not get injured and the next game have 6 and get injured so it's really a crap shoot. A lot of luck involved. Certainly fewer opportunities to get injured the better but I don't think you can play scared in this league.

I recently seen a DWI video of old baker that both increase then decrease my feeling about him.... he pulled a lame run as well.....

It wasn't a DWI they were just questioning him about an incident that wasn't related to him and he ran. He didn't run far, he was tackled rather quickly. He had been drinking and that hurt his decision making that prompted him to run and his ability to get away.

Mostly just funny though, had he not ran they would have just asked if he saw anything and moved on. Instead he picked up a charge.

Put the check in the win column. People seem to have forgotten what CMC can do. We may not stop Chubb, but we'll slow him down. We already know that Mayfield is motivated, and Brissett won't be able to match him. Our corners are better than theirs, and if Mayfield uses everything at his disposal, they're receivers can't match ours.

It'll be interesting watching the O-line against the CLE established D-line and what McAdoo draws up/what Baker audibles to. The thing i've picked up from pressers that actually makes me feel somewhat optimistic is that Baker has free reign to change the plays however he feels fit at the line of scrimmage. Wouldn't trust Darnold with that but I could see it being a positive with Baker and CMC beside each other in the backfield

Stop their run, at minimum to the point they aren't getting chunks of yards. Be the better defense. This could be a brief return to John Fox style of game. Punts aren't a bad play, win the field position battle, play to our strengths. Make their QB play directly into what our strength is supposed to be, superior pass defense and secondary. If we can do that, we can ugly out a win against them.

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
