He should of been showed out at half time....

I grew up a St. Louis Cardinals fan.  During the last week of the 1985 season, during the second half of their 11th loss, Bill Bidwill (the owner) quietly had a locksmith change the locks on the door to the coaches office.

Jim Hanifan learned he was fired when the team came into the locker room after the game and he couldn't get into his office.  Pretty classless, considering Hanifan was not a snake oil salesman, just an ineffective head coach (great OL coach though).

Just got around to finishing the game. I know it’s only week 1 but I think this is the most embarrassed I’ve ever been as a Panthers fan. fug Tepper and his fuging losers he’s hired to run this poo team. At least under JR and Hurney we’d have spurts of relevance.

Waiting on NFL+ to actually work but yeah the crappy stream I watched was really ugly. Coordinators were morons

    • Why is it a no-brainer? I mean the idea of a hold out made me laugh out loud.
    • Oh, oh. I see what you are saying. Yeah but not all of those were draft for draft replacements. Jones was a dumpster dive. The overall point I was making is that it is becoming more common to see this quick pivots as people realize their mistakes. It happens with a lot of busts historically at QB.  IDK about "most teams" have fast, capable WR's. It's a mixed bag across the league. There are the Hopkins, Evans, etc that aren't sub-4.5 guys and are still star players.
    • So if it comes down to that, and it played out, we could be looking at a post June 1 designation for his 5th year money at best. Assuming it is guaranteed which I don’t know.     13.25 mil cap hit in 2027 and 2028.   I have to admit I never really went into the angles after picking up the option. I have always been don’t do it.    So, you pay him the 12 mil for year 4 and if you want out when they go into extension lobbying you trade or cut.  Is that conceivable?   The thing about trading is, I believe all the guaranteed money hits your cap right then. That’s 26.5 million if correct.  So if they picked up the 5th, this would cover the ‘we want out’ expenses from our end, after year 4.   Correct?
