There's a difference between did the SCREW US or did they mess up a call. Yes, they messed up a call, maybe two.

But there are actually people on this board that truly think the refs and league are out to get us and screw us on purpose lol.

It’s sad because those people can also vote… scary.

You trust that defense? No excuses the game plan and coaching were absolutely horrid Elflein can't snap the dang ball, it's almost like Rhules clown show of a oline competition denied them continuity.

That's what we are built on right?? Most of our stars are supposed to be on defense right?? Thats where all the top picks are... After the fumble snap I would have played it the same way.. Run the clock down as much as you can.. Make them drive the field against the defense..

Not a bad idea if you don’t telegraph what you are doing by having Baker under center. While Elflein did have one bad snap when Baker was in shotgun, most of his snaps were much better when Baker was in shotgun rather than under center.

Not to mention, the ball has to be snapped regardless of if it’s a run or pass. Elflein still had to snap the ball two more times when they ran McCaffrey right up Elflein’s backside.

If they were running a RPO.. Taking a snap under Center is the better fake.. right??

Doesn’t have to be RPO, a delayed draw could have been highly effective in that scenario. Hell, you can even run a jet sweep in that situation with D.J.

That whole instance was horribly managed.

The talent is there IMO the hairbrained college scheme is not.... But I digress I really just don't care until the fhule is gone.

Could have been but if they faked the run up the middle and hit the slant.. That was open because the defense was setting up for the run up the middle..

Well yeah, but that would require the staff to put the ball in the air which they obviously didn’t want to do. Just really hated the play calls on that last series. Just seemed way too conservative, the type of conservative we used to blast Rivera for.

Again we don't know after the fumble snap.. That fumble snap probably messed up all plans of going for the throat..

Could have been, but then we as fans can ask why Bozeman is sitting on the bench.. which is another coaching blunder. And there are still relatively safe play calls like sweeps and screens that aren’t as easily defendable as to inside draws.

    • Good, our ST is almost as bad as our ILB depth!
    • With two starters on expiring contracts (Moton + Corbett) as well as a few back-ups (Christensen, Mays, and Nijman), the Panthers are likely going to have to reinvest in the OL after this coming season. Icky's fifth-year option was picked up by the team this offseason while Lewis and Hunt both remain under contract then (though Lewis' deal is set-up in a way that would let Carolina move on from him then as well). I think that the team is going to be looking at investing a premium pick at RT should Bryce's development continue, and might even look to double dip at the position in order to have a swing tackle that can also kick inside when needed. There's also the question of starting center... Prospects I'm watching this upcoming college season... Centers Jake Slaughter (Florida) Iapani Laloulu (Oregon) Connor Lew (Auburn) Logan Jones (Iowa) Parker Brailsford (Alabama) Connor Tollison (Missouri) Bryce Foster (Kentucky) Pat Coogan Notre Dame) Raheem Anderson (Michigan) Carson Hinzman (Ohio State) RTs Francis Mauigoa (Miami) Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) Spencer Fano (Utah) Gennings Dunker (Iowa) Blake Miller (Clemson) Isaiah World (Oregon) Caleb Tiernan (Northwestern) Monroe Feeling (Georgia) Earnest Greene III (Georgia) Monroe Mills (Louisville) Charles Jagusah (Notre Dame) Tree Babalade (South Carolina) Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M) Nolan Rucci (Penn State) Tristan Leigh (Clemson) Fernando Carmona (Arkansas) JC Davis (Illinois) Riley Mahlman (Wisconsin) PJ Williams (SMU) Tosh Baker (Notre Dame) Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) Courtland Ford (Kentucky) Ethan Onianwa (Rice)
    • I watched documentary on the 2010 Auburn season and Cam wasn’t included in that either. I think he just doesn’t care for these things
