Does Tepper keep Fitt and let him hire his own coach?

He's a bit too trigger happy with trades for my taste.  Should be a balance of trading and gaining capital and we're just giving away capital and not getting the value from players received in return.  Those have been the stingers from Fitt. Unsure how much Rhule directs vs. suggests but I'd prefer a clean wash.

Maybe a Dan Morgan promotion.

There is none

8. Among GMs and front-office leaders, who is the best talent evaluator?

Colts GM Chris Ballard (six votes)

• “He understands the players, he understands fit, his coaching staff and team culture.”

• “Ballard is phenomenal.”

Bills GM Brandon Beane (four votes)

• “Looking at the way they’ve improved under his tutelage, I think I’d put him at the top.”

Buccaneers GM Jason Licht (two votes)

• “You like a guy who was a scout like Ballard. He gets it. But it’s hard to put him first when he hasn’t won a Super Bowl. Licht has, and the Bucs hit on a lot of their picks.”

Broncos GM George Paton (two votes)

• “I’ve had players on George’s teams dating back to Minnesota. Based on conversations we’ve had about player development and talent acquisition, he’s always been someone that I’ve really truly respected.”

Others: Bills pro personnel director Malik Boyd, Texans GM Nick Caserio, Ravens GM Eric DeCosta, Jets GM Joe Douglas, Panthers GM Scott Fitterer, Jets assistant GM Rex Hogan, former Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome, 49ersassistant GM Adam Peters, Seahawks GM John Schneider, Giants GM Joe Schoen, Rams GM Les Snead, Chiefs GM Brett Veach

Hard to judge based on Rhules contractual control. Fitterer really hasn’t had the opportunity to build a roster yet. He has had to collaborate and compromise based on what Rhule wants. That isn’t typically the case in most front offices. Final say typically goes to the GM.  Rumored Fittz has had more say this year, but it’s way to early to judge the draft class and free agent signings.    I think he has earned the right. Most analyst and fans alike loved his draft this past year.

If you don't give a GM final say on the roster then he's just a wet nurse for your college coach who has full control. No legit GM candidate is taking that offer.

There's only 32 of these jobs in the world. Even if it's not the best situation, you still don't turn down the opportunity because you don't know when you'll get another.

Ballard is interesting. Everyone raves about him, but he hasn’t been able to find a QB, so the results are not there. Complete side note, but isn’t he also the guy who forced people to sleep in the office during draft prep or something weird like that?
