If Baker plays terrible next week against the Cardinals I would think Rhule would give Sam a shot. It's not going to get any easier for our QB regardless of who starts.

I sure hope not.  The initial injury was bad enough.  But then that second time it came out he suffered a fracture.  The Browns should have shut him down, there was no way for him to build enough muscle to protect his shoulder before he finally re-injured it.  It's his non-throwing shoulder, but with his throwing motion your concerns are valid.  The reason I think it's more psychological than structural is that he looked accurate enough during pre-season.

I can see that but I need more then 3 games and I can't compare him to guys who have been on their teams longer..

Example..

We all know Russ is a better QB then he has looked in Denver..

Baker is very surprising 

he also seems very disengaged   Dispassionate 

something is wrong…don’t have a clue what it is

Ellis Williams talked  about the same  it a bit in his a podcast 

I can see not being Aaron Rodgers but no way should he be Jimmy Clausen either 

he maybe a sack machine but at least he isn’t a turnover machine, granted some of that is luck

I'm going to be honest: I thought Baker would be better. I expected him to be at least a competent game manager, but he looks lost out there. All of the criticisms of Mayfield like his spotty accuracy (particularly on those midrange second level passes), and his inability to read the entire field (as was basically suggested by Kurt Warner when he said Baker is best when he only has to read half the field), have been on full display. Add in his timing issues, failure to step into the pocket, what I'll call inefficient mobility, and his lackluster athleticism, and I just don't see him being anyone's answer at starting QB.       We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that

      There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.

      Sounds like Veesaar is entering the draft. He could always test the waters and pull out and return but without him our big men look like a serious liability. Better do something in the portal. If they don't do something about this portal madness my days as a college sports fan are probably numbered. This bullshit of having a nearly entirely new team every season is gonna get old fast.
