I mean it’s actually an easy call.  Give me Heinicke over Sam on my roster.  And that’s not an argument that I want Heinicke on my roster lol.

The fact that people want to see Darnold play again proves that the Huddle does have a portion of the dumbest Panther fans representing themselves in here.

Do you want us to win games or are you on the tank train?  Cause if it's the latter as I suspect, then I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to throw Darnold out there if you genuinely think he's the worst QB on our roster.  Just logically seems counterintuitive.

I never wanted to let Taylor go. That cat can play.

I get that, however people also tend to forget that:

1: Sam was playing behind a historically awful o-line.

2: CMC goes down when we were 3-0, then the wheels fell off.

3: While running for his life behind the historically awful o-o-line he got injured.

It would be nice to see what he could do given a little bit of time to settle in and make some reads.

I have to agree. I need to see three or four weeks of crappy QB play in real NFL games this year before I close his window. (Crappy play wouldn’t shock me, I just need to see it).
Would prefer to lose out, I was against Mayfield because I wanted to tank. Lol. I support bringing him in now.

Sam is trash. No one needs to wants to see it. It honestly doesn’t matter, but Sam is better than Bake or PJ for the reasons you outlined.

He was the worst quarterback from a clean pocket in 2021.

It is a very weird argument from a football knowledge perspective to say the QB with the least clean pockets in 2021 also was the worst when he finally had one.

Again not defending Darnold and if he does worse than Baker I will gladly eat crow.

Sam did lead the league in rushing TD's last year through the first 3 or 4 weeks. At least he has some mobility to take off for a first down. He's definitely the most dynamic QB on the team. No way he can perform as bad as Baker to this point. If he can go let him see what he can do with this new OL

Na they haven't, nor have they forgotten how bad we are right now.

79 first downs all year lol.

Never had that with the supposed super scrub(he's merely a scrub), his issue is throwing it to the other team. He can also throw it to our team unlike the other QBs who throw it to the ground or also throw it to the other teams arms on some tipped passes poo. Give me the ints all day, they at least come with the occasional first down/touchdown.

He's easily the best athlete at the QB position on this derp ass team.

my vote is to go down in a blaze of glory with Eason.  IMO, that is the only correct call.

You get the tank.  Just as much as with anyone else. And you get to see if there is anything to him.  All questions on the others have been answered.

Yeah may as well see what he has for a few but if its obvious that he ain't it I think Wilks is going to actually try to get a job. He is coaching to try and win so we'll see what that looks like I guess. I'm down for trying out Eason for a bit but if I was HC trying to win a job I think its obvious you have to play Darnold....

....and ofc that's on some hilarious lol wtf poo. When Damn Sarnold is your best hope you def aren't on some Star Wars poo looking for Obi Wan. Imagine "Help me Sam Darnold, you're my only hope" Galaxy gone son, galaxy gone

    • I hate seeing this. I'm not sure he was ever going to make it in the NFL without the injury but that injury knocked FSU out of the college football playoffs and cost him and them and opportunity on the biggest stage in college sports. The injuries are the worst part of this game.
    • I don't know what Texas A&M was doing with their edge rushers. They had two freaks in Scourton and Shemar Stewart and yet instead of turning them loose they asked them to play 20 lbs overweight and just set the edge. That's full-on coaching malpractice at any level. Much was made about Shemar Stewart's lack of sack production, but while he wasn't my favorite prospect this year a lot of that was clearly what they were asking him to do. The good news with Scourton is that, unlike Stewart, did manage to be a huge factor as a pass rusher despite this and despite playing 20 lbs overweight. If he can stay around 260-265 it should help him re-gain some of that explosiveness from his Purdue days.
    • I did, but again we're aware of the practice in college of inflating height/weight as well as what is considered normal and his freshman weight tells a lot. There was a recent Raw Room episode where at one point they were discussing putting on their "big boy weight" when they go to the pros. It's common for guys to have to slap on 20lbs over the summer, but King Dunlap mentioned having to put on 30 and how much of a toll that took on his body. That makes the idea of putting on 50 at the college level even harder to believe. I've got experience with cutting weight and that type of drop sounds just awful... and that's even if doing it healthy and not just turning yourself into a piece of human jerky. Having to add 50? Noooooo thank yoooou. I can understand wanting to take Scourton at face value, but we didn't take Bryce at face value either (and for good reason!). Give the recently posted videos a shot. I watched the one you linked even though I've already seen it, so why not extend the same courtesy? I think you'll find yourself getting more excited about his Purdue tape than you will being irritated by what you believe are false narratives being pushed. 😄
