Rams Offering Two (Future) Firsts for Burns

I'm not gonna lie to you that makes zero sense and I appreciate things like value charts.

I am sorry it doenst make sense, but that is how NFL front offices treat it. They do it on a conservative approach, because you dont know where that pick will land in the round. So you approach it as the worst possible outcome. The rule of thumb in the NFL is any future pick is viewed as -1 round.

Im sure you can google this if you still feel this makes zero sense.

No. Not "a team". The defending Super Bowl champs. The Eagles are also hard after him. This is what good organizations do. They use bad organizations basically like minor league feeder teams.

The Seahawks overpaid for Adams because they had dreams of the Legion of Boom dancing in their heads.

All I'm saying here is we shouldn't be trading elite talent at premium positions because we're drunk on draft picks. We have pure junk on the edges minus Burns. Who knows how much draft capital you'll have to "burn" through trying to fix that.

Have we seen a hard source on the Eagles being after him though?

I know there's been a lot of speculation but many of those same sources still think DJ Moore is up for grabs too.

Not comparing, just laughing because not once have I seen that 17-40 argument against Burns but it was prevalent against CMC. Probably because CMC wasn’t on the team and Burns still is.

Well only one of them plays offense. Plus many here have claimed 22 to have been the best weapon in football and we just scored 34 points for the first time since last November without him and PJ Walker was our QB. Sorry man you can't have it both ways here.

I know what you are saying but in reality that is just not true

What? Not true and also f*ck value charts. You snag a gamer in the first round and get that 5th year option that’s crucial

I am not making this up, as much you want to argue against it. This is the common thought process of GMs in the NFL. poo, even Fitterer spoke of this in one of his pressers.

To be fair, I should've said "were". I highly doubt they still are after reading for Robert Quinn.

Prob similar to the money now > money later approach in finance. Also I suppose it makes sense to view it as the worst possible outcome to keep it conservative but still.... first round picks are first round picks. Blue chip talent in there if you approach it the right way.

its math.... how is that not reality? They literally are using a scoring metric to make a decision... not hearts and feelings....

Yes vs the value of the picks right now, not in the future and that is what we are discussing and its not math its how things are valued on a chart

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
