Brian Burns has more sacks than any other player in NFL history under 25 years old

Yes, Scott Fitterer is so desperate to have a winning team next season, he traded away Christian McCaffrey.

Exactly. He knew that he has other running backs who could carry the load and the fact McCaffrey had an injury history and a huge contract. Fitterer is doing what the coaches and owner wants to do and for my money is doing a pretty good job.

We have WR's and LT locked down. Just need 2 QB's and 2 DE's. Burns is a 3-4 outside LB. Hanes I'm undecided on.

I usually agree with you on most things but you are talking wild right now bro.  Burns can absolutely play 4-3 DE (as he has proven).  He's the same build, size, and type of player that Jason Taylor was and I've said this since we drafted him.  And Taylor is a HOF DE.

Will Burns become a Hall of Famer?  Probably not, its hard to reach that level.  But Burns is 100% a 4-3 DE.  Could he play 3-4 OLB sure but that is a big assumption considering he's never done full-time it in his entire career, college included.

Burns shouldn’t be judged based on just sack numbers. What a great stat that is. But, if you watch him play…most games he’s causing the QB to be uncomfortable in the pocket. I remember when a lot of folks on here thought Peppers slacked on plays/games just because he didn’t get a sack. Burns isn’t Peppers, but he is 24, and has a lot of wisdom to gain. So, where he is now, it’s pretty extraordinary.

Bosa has played 16 less games than Burns due to injury in his second season.  So basically the same production in one less season.

I like Burns but he's not in the same league as Bosa.

Injuries count as far as production. If you can't stay on the field you don't get credit for only when you played. If Burns stays healthy and Bosa doesn't then Burns is better because he can play every game. Sacks aren't the only way to.measure production. Being out there every game is a big part of things as well.

They were running 3-4 sets a lot last night, especially in the first half. Burns was a none factor in both sets until that 1 play he got a sack.  Hanes was more of a factor in this game.

Burns is overrated.

Just so we are clear you think burns is better then bosa?

So the Rams, a good organization, were willing to trade 2 1st round for Brian Burns even though he is worse than Marquis Haynes?  No offense but can you at least acknowledge how crazy that sounds?

I don't care what the Rams think. If he's not helping our team win then he does us no good. See McCaffrey.

Agree to disagree.

Burns doesn't get double teamed. Watch him play, I do. He's a jag who gets a sack or a pressure when it doesn't matter. He never shows up on money downs. Hanes did it twice in one game.

Burns is overrated and if they pay him he will NEVER earn it.

I've said my piece.

Its Haynes.  He didnt even get touched the 2nd sack because the tackle looked inside to help with Brown and he was off the ball too fast for the RB to do anything about it. Literally any speed rusher would have got that sack.

    • I have more faith in XL improving than I do in Tmac being a true number 1 recuever
    • Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge.     Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely.  Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player.  Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value  Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE.  Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive.  Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft.  This weekend we get a small look at these rookies
