He stepped up at the end.

TD.

Strip Sack

Big pressure with QB hit.

Burns has never done that in crunch time.

You do realize he was 20 yards away from the QB when he fumbled it ..

Yes, right place , right time. But to imply his defensive positioning was planned is a bit a stretch .  He didn’t know the QB would fumble ..  an interception, I’d give him all the credit..  it wasn’t though

You realize he could have whiffed on the recovery? He could have tripped.

On the next possession he had a strip sack and QB hit.

That's the point. I'll go back and look at the two games referenced but I don't think Burns has made 3 huge plays in crunch time in back to back possessions.

Today? In the playoffs as a division winner.

Coaching matters

Amazing what hiring a former QB turned Super Bowl level coach (Pederson) did for Jacksonville. Wouldn't it be something if we could hire someone like that? 😉

Back to back plays but he still has like half the sacks Burns does on the year. Consistency is huge for players. Burns is probably wishing he could have a game lined up against Daley the whole time.

Barely limping into the playoffs as the winner of an awful division…I thought we were against that here lol. I do genuinely wonder if Jags fans are upset about getting in or if that’s a uniquely Huddle thing.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
