Can we talk about the elephant in the room

The Panthers need to cut Ian Thomas before next season. I don’t care about the dead money. If we make the playoffs, Wilks will be the head coach and most our coaches will remain.

But what about our draft? We would be 19 or higher.

Elephant??? That isn't even a decent rhino in what we need to do. I would like to see us draft a TE or bring in someone on a reasonable contract but it won't be in the first or second round I would think.

He is a good blocker but if you play against the panthers you literally have to spend 0% of your time gameplan Ming for the TE position.

He's trash but there's minimal cap savings cutting him this off-season. He's probably gonna be here unless we designate him a post-June 1 cut.

I like this TE draft. There's 5 or 6 guys who have a chance to be legit starters IMO.

Yes indeed.  I think one of our second rounders will be TE.  They mentioned the need for skill players--

Marshall starting to step up, Smith is good in the slot, Moore is a good #1, and Shenault is a swiss army knife--the OL is pretty solid, and we have a good interior backup/blocking back in Mays.  if we could add a TE, a QB, and then maybe a S and LB--good draft.

Yeah I think Marshall is gonna be a real stud for us starting next season. Pair him with DJ and a good rookie pass catching TE and might cooking with gas.
