Yeah you clearly have no clue what you’re talking about when it comes to me. You should probably just stop.

I'd call the Bears about #2 but I expect the price to be STEEP. You can only make that trade if you're willing to bet your career on that guy being a future HOFer.

I'm for rolling the dice on Anthony Richardson at #9. Yeah, he's boom or bust. So sign Darnold as the backup so you don't have to play him until he's ready. Then you roll him out there and see if he booms or busts. If it's the latter, go get Drake Maye.

This is the plan I like.

Let Sam get knocked around while AR watches and learns on what NOT to do as an NFL QB.  😉

But also if he busts, then go hard after Drake.

You did see the game today, correct?  Our OL may be better, but weapons?  Nah, the cupboard is bare. I've said this time and time again--Moore would be a #2 on most teams.  One dude we signed off the street (Foreman), Chuba, Ian Thomas, Tremble, Marshall, Shi Smith and so on.  This roster sucks at offensive skill positions.

Moore would easily be the 1 in Chicago over Mooney or Claypool for sure. Chicago won’t be bringing back Monty unless it’s super team friendly so I trust our backs more. And the offensive line makes significant difference.

I’d be happy with up to two firsts and two seconds to move up for Stroud or Young.  Otherwise stay put and take Richardson or even Levis if Richardson is gone or the new coach doesn’t like him. I’ve warmed slightly to both of them (coincided with our fall down the draft spots and the likelihood of getting Stroud withering away).  If we stay put, take a WR and TE in the second. If we only have the be second after a trade, take bpa among WRs and TEs in the second and the other in the third.

Whose playing qb in that last scenario?

Sure, like Darnold today, he had time to run around in the pocket while his WRs still couldn't get open.  Granted, he wasn't getting planted into the turf, but the extra time by the OL didn't do diddly for our WRs that were continuously covered like the DBs were their Siamese twins.

I try not to overreact to a single game. Our line has been good for most of the year and I’d argue poor coaching early and bad QB play most of the year is the reason we didn’t achieve our goals of playoffs. Whoever we get in the draft will have a solid group to work with and time to throw for the most part. I’m excited.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
