Not really. Ryans is the only who is interviewing other teams that dropped us. Everyone else is staying put.

Ben Johnson, Josh McDaniels last time we hired, Rhule begged NY to match Tepper’s offer. But Harbaugh had to push hard just for Tepper to take a phone call. I think the captain of this ship is a moron and we’re gonna get burned by some desperation move  a-la Rhule, or get Ron Rivera 2.0 only worse in Wilks.

Ben Johnson turned down everyone  (Panthers, Colts, Texans) to stay in Detroit...thats not on Tepper. Tepper was burned by Rhule and his agent but Rhule was again a hot name in 2020. Josh McDaniels also left the colts at the alter so he's burned teams before. Apples and Oranges this cycle.

The Colts and Texans also have shitty owners and are viewed poorly. It is absolutely Tepper’s fault that Johnson viewed the Panthers in the same way. Just because it is true of other teams as well does not make it less true of the Panthers.

This is starting to feel like the Hornets hiring process and we’ll just end up with the same guy/type of guy we have failed with for years (Wilks/Clifford) due to a combination of coaches not wanting to coach here and poor judgment by the organization.

Wouldn't be surprised. I feel like Reich is basically that. An offensive version of Rivera/Wilks.

Bryon Leftwich was picky with Khan last cycle and in the end it worked out for Jacksonville and Byron's head coaching chance is back to zero. Give it time before we start demanding pitch forks.

Johnson must’ve had some really nice talks with the Lions this week that probably seem much rosier than the prospective jobs. Good on Detroit and him.

If the Lions go 1-3 i think they fire DC and promote Johnson. I don't see any other reason why he'd want to stay in Detroit

The favorite IS, has been and always will be Payton. Tepper basically put Harbaugh on hold waiting for Sean.

Everybody knows it, Harbaugh felt slighted, undervalued because even with his record of success at all levels of football it couldn't break Teppers stare from the black liner eyed Rivera/Rhule thrasher himself Sean Payton.

There is no other. The obsession is real. For his and our sake I hope he gets his love. He IS a great coach.

    • So we are all supposed to bow now? Or can we wait until after the season?  The fear is not that he would prove me wrong, it is that the people in charge are fooled again and accept subpar results as enough progress to make a new commitment. And of course, we get the same start to next year as this year and the previous two years.  I am not afraid to be wrong. I have consistently said let’s let these games play out.    I am just unwilling to accept one or two nice games a year or three or four and the rest working around him like we have to do, as proof of success.  IOW I am afraid you are wrong to crown him, the FO will be wrong, etc… And screw you too calling people miserable old fugs.
    • Maybe it depends on how the logo is tweaked.   Kinda looks college-ish    (yes, this is official NFL merch)
    • Okay, whatever. Some people can't resist taking a crap in another man's cleats. Even after the guy set the new franchise record for passing yards in a game, won that game and won it against our division rivals. Yeah, he's still a frog, warts and all. A lot of you are tired of kissing him. A lot of you just keep seeing the frog and want it gone, for your own good reasons. Truth is, though, the franchise is going to keep kissing this frog in hopes of finding a prince through the rest of this season, no matter what happens. We've got Andy Dalton on the bench, just keeping it from flying up in the air and basically no one on the active roster behind him. We have the veritable murderer's row of opponents coming up, including half of the game vs division opponents, including two versus the division leading Bucs. There's really not an easy game ahead of us unless New Orleans decides to pack it in early and just phone in a contractual obligated effort. The only way, the EFFING ONLY WAY, Bryce comes out of this turning into the prince is if he wins four or more of these games and somehow gets the team into the playoffs. And you can read it here, there are a lot of people here who are actually afraid of that because they could be proven wrong about him, that we could be saddled with a QB they don't like because of it.  They'd fuging rather lose games and shorten the season to see Bryce fail, even if it means their team fails. Man, that's fuged up.  Root for the team or go the fug on. If that means you've got to pull for the little guy in the fight, then you  do. Hell, the odds are certainly stacked against him. But it sure would be nice if we hit a patch of magic after years of futility. But you guys would crap on that, too. Miserable old fugs.
