Comparing AR to cam is unfair. Cam was a total freak show and won a national championship with a team that only had like 2 or 3 other drafted players if I remember correctly. Cam was that team. Looked like he was playing children at times. AR has shown Cam type flashes but he was nowhere near what cam was coming out. That said I’d take him at 9 or move up a bit if we think another team is gonna grab him ahead of us. He has elite tools and this is a great staff to develop him. If he busts he busts. These are the type of shots we need to take.

I think people are forgetting how incredible cam was at auburn. I don’t think there will ever be another cam.

I haven't. Cam was a one man wrecking crew. They were a borderline top 25 team preseason with hardly any other NFL talent outside of Cam. Their head coach is now coordinating a terrible D at UNC. Their OC who was being hyped as a genius flamed out as a head coach at Auburn and is currently at the powerhouse Central Florida.

That poo was ALL Cam.

Same here. I watched that out of curiosity because I was a Luck guy and had been for a good while. I was underwhelmed the first half, but the second half and hearing how he took charge during halftime and got the team fired up, I was hooked.

I will say that what I have seen from AR and what he's capable of that I get a lot of the same vibe I had from watching Cam. He's got legit superhero potential. You find a way to harness and guide it and you've got yourself one of the most exciting studs the league has seen in a while.

“I can definitely get better at delivering the ball and helping my guys out," Richardson said. "But I can’t also catch every pass. If I could, I would definitely. It’s just helping guys out and helping guys help me."

Suspicious Mr Johnson GIF by ABC Network

Sounds like he spent a year as the starting QB at Florida and spoke honestly.

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
