I’m gonna have a lot of people to quote when this trade fails as miserably as I know it will. Y’all really got scammed by Tepper already and you’re lapping it up yet again

Cool. And you will be no where to be found if it pans out besides the fetal position.

I feel confident you are smarter than Scott Fitterer, Frank Reich, Josh McCowen, Thomas Brown, Duce Staley, Parks Frazier, etc. who all signed off on this deal... /s

Seriously, Tepper hired an all-star cast of offensive coaches.  If they don't have a plan for moving forward with this move, we got much better issues than just this trade.

There is absolutely nothing crippling about this.  Yes, moving DJ doesn't help our WR corp next year, but we have plenty of money to spend in FA plus the potential to finally draft a franchise QB again.

Crippling is what this fanbase has had to endure the past 5 seasons.

We are finally a serious football organization again.  I don't know what's not to like about that

I was also told no way I was smarter than David Tepper, who absolutely schooled me when he snapped up Matt Rhule.

I realize the Panthers gave up a lot, especially including D.J. Moore.

However, sitting at pick # 9, the Panthers were facing the very real possibility none of the top four QBs in this draft would still be there when they picked.

For all the Panthers gave to obtain the # 1 overall draft pick, I will be highly disappointed if C.J. Stroud is not the QB they select.

Get ready to be disappointed on draft night and for the next several years.

I just don’t get why everyone’s so elated over this. This front office is CONSTANTLY short sighted and panicky. You think an offense of Laviska Shanault , Terrace Marshall, Shi Smith, Ian Thomas, Chuba Hubbard is making noise with Cj Stroud, who’s been BLESSED with skill talent above competition at every position. Did Bryce have Marvin Harrison JR, Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jaxson Smith Njigba, and Emeka Egbuka? Did he have the top pure LT prospect in this draft? Did he even play in the SEC?

Hes been kid gloved. He’ll be a FINE nfl qb in the right circumstance. I don’t think this situation is even good at this point. Good OL, good defense, bottom 5 skill position players.

Bryce has done this with all of these circumstances. He’s played in the hardest conference, with lesser talent, and to ME he just looks better.

Think of it like this. Without a QB, DJ was a waste. Given the situation, we had to decide between a wr or a QB. WR are easier to find than QBs so DJ had to go.

All I can say is they better choose correctly or we are toast.

A friend of mine who has a source in the organization said it’s down to Stroud or Levis but a decision has not been made yet.

Was also told that there isn’t a decision on how WR will be addressed yet but that the team does trust Terrace Marshall’s development.

Take that for what it’s worth.

I know a lot of folks think this means the decision is already made but I kinda doubt that. Pro days, interviews and a sh-load of meetings are still to come.

Breer pointed out this gives us plenty of time to make that call.

    • I've already addressed this notion in a previous reply. You are basing your assertion outside reality if you think Bryce would have not only been more successful but defeated the Patriots in place of Herbert. Bryce got blown off the field by that Patriots team with the highest paid OL in the league. We've seen Bryce with an OL that gave up 65 sacks and it resulted in the #1 pick. And that is not a defense of Herbert or arguing he is a great QB in any way. He has physical talent but he has been similar to Darnold early in his career in terms of his very up and down perfomances. However that does not change the fact that they have significantly less invested in the OL than the Panthers.
    • I think Tepper has been setting the stage where pending there is no miracle he wipes it all clean.  Think you already have been told that with small things like Evero staying.  Bryce is the guy next year.  OC, DC, everything stays the same.  QB room largely the same.  Nothing would really matter there.  They basically get one more shot and it goes how the schedule paired with our 27th ranked O predictably most likely goes.  Everyone out the door together.  Bryce is a bridge tier QB.  I don’t see Dave surviving where he could be bridge QB here in reality.
    • I think the D performed well over the season considering it was put together with Scotch tape.
