Watch us draft the next Zach Wilson...smh

You guys are not history fans of the NFL draft?  this was a huge gamble.

Or watch us draft Trevor Lawrence and the Texans draft Zack Wilson (since Zach was the #2 pick).

Well the last time Tepper let his HC decide who to draft over who he liked we ended up with Horn instead of Fields

If he sits back and let’s his HC decide again (as he should) I’ll be surprised

Im fine with either tbh

I just prefer Stroud because of the size factor. If Bryce was taller and bigger he is probably the undisputed #1 player in this draft. The only questions with him is size and durability.

The last time Tepper let his HC decide who to draft, his HC was Matt Rhule.

I think it would be safe to let Reich make the pick this time around.

Same here.

I just wanted one of these two guys. I prefer Stroud but if these guys prefer Young that’s fine

And that was a smart decision, Fields isn't going to be a long term high end starter in this league, he's a worse passer than Lamar.  I always felt the Bears should have been trading Fields and draft a new QB anyways.

    • Oh yeah the QB is huge in this stuff. Imagine what Smitty could have done with a surgeon back there. And some more offensive minded head coaches. It was always run heavy. He was one of the best I ever saw and people didn’t know who he was outside of Carolina, for the longest time.
    • For sure, any college scout that touted Bryce Young as worth the first overall pick, needs to be gone. I don’t think the college scouts are so much the issue, I think it is the minds of the decision makers that have the most influence.  If this draft produces, and Morgan was really in charge, maybe Tepper will develop some respect and stay back and let people work.
    • I just am not aware of regimens that offer increased velocity which is the biggest weakness I can see in Young (that needs addressing right now). Is it possible to do? Who has done it that we can see as an example? I guess I am saying before I believe weights will give him added zip on the ball, I would want proof that it works.    I think weight room would help him not be pulled down by two fingers, even if they are big strong DL fingers. They are still fingers controlling 185 lbs. So that needs to be addressed but it is a secondary issue behind his footwork and ball velocity. It might help too, in allowing him to retain some velocity while not putting 100% effort into throws. Which should help his ‘deep’ ball.  I agree they can’t fix his footwork on those pistol or gun snaps where he slowly goes backwards and does the tippy toe thing.  Maybe putting him under center and taking the option of that type of drop away from him, forcing him into the classic under center style. Drop and plant and throw. Maybe that would help get around it.
