Why would that concern you? Young is the better qb as of right now

Not even close. CJ is far and away the best QB prospect in the draft. His accuracy and touch are unparalleled.  Watch highlights of Ohio State and Utah in the Rose Bowl and you'll see that CJ was making amazing throws.  CJ will be the pick and he's going to have an immediate impact.

What we need to do is figure out our QB rankings while we also sniff around and figure out who the Texans prefer. If their #1 is our #2, front like hell that we're taking their guy and try to get them to swap picks with us. If our #1 is also their #1, just take #1.

Kinda the premise of what I posted in the other thread...

No offense but your screen name makes me think you might not necessarily be 100% objective 🤔

How else would you game plan against that Georgia D? Bryce's game in 2021 was called pretty similar, both guys made plays when they were given the opportunity. It really is gonna be splitting hairs between the two of them in my opinion. Bryce had to do more this past year with a weaker roster. CJ coasted against mediocre teams, but also had tougher weather games with crazy wind, all that has to go into consideration for both guys

The gameplan was perfect. It mostly worked. I just don’t see the things Stroud does that makes him the 4/1 favorite amongst our fanbase in terms of number one selection. I guess size is the factor for a lot of people but Young has franchise potentials. Is it out of the realm of possibility that Stroud is just in that “almost a franchise guy but won’t quite get there” tier?

Bryce would far and away be my No. 1 if the NFL had a height rule stipulating that linemen could only be so tall.

Do u think linemen in the NFL r taller than in the SEC?

College kids r 18 to 23 yrs old. Their height in college is the same height 99% of them will be in the NFL. How many ppl grow in height after age 18 to 23? Probably less than 1% if that.

Bryce won a Heisman yr 1 & was spectacular yr 2 playing against linemen already as tall as they would ever be. I say lack of height talk is overrated.

That is exactly who I think CJ will be. GOFF, COUSINS, CARR…

talented guys but need a lot around them to be top 10. U end up having to pay them a sec contract but if u r a serious org in need to be perennial winner, u try to trade them yr 5 or 6 for a franchise QB.

Bryce on the other side has franchise QB trait who can work with less has this year showed.

if u take CJ vs GA game away, u can’t possibly look at their body of work & think CJ is better.

Lol fields looked good against clemson. This is just dollar general fields but stroud in the clearance section. Needs to be bryce. This move ultimately determines if we run tepper out of here in 3-4 years. If the panthers turn into the hornets, poo im out

    • We will make it interesting. I think we'll be on a roll by then.
    • Especially glad there's no Thursday games. I hate them. They're dangerous. They really fug up a routine and unless you're team is coming off a bye, they play the game with little rest or prep.
    • Sober. Still feeling it. I really like how the schedule is laid out for us. Perfect for a new HC and rebuilding team. Aside from the Bengals, there aren't  any good teams before the bye. Chargers will be, but they're having to figure poo out just like we are and they'll be coming here for an early game. That one is a toss up. I like our defense against them. I think we'll give the Bengals a fight, but I wouldn't put money on us winning that one. But the saints can be swept. They're beat up and just don't have much going on. They'll be at the bottom of the division. I feel like we will split with the falcons and the bucs. There's nothing scary about the raiders or that washington team. Chicago is another toss up, but they aren't scary either....not yet anyways. We're getting them early in the season so I like our chances. I especially like our defense against a rookie QB. And the broncos....boring. Giants....again, boring. Looking at this, we've got a good defensive thing going on. I think the unit will be better this year a d we're in season 2 of Evero. I like us especially against rookie QBs, and we'll have at least 3 we're facing before the bye. We come in and play smash mouth football and just keep hitting (pounding) away and I think we're competitive. It's that schedule after the bye that scares me. Hopefully by that point they've built up a lot of confidence. You get a scrappy dawg that's got some confidence and a lot of fight in him and you've always got a shot. I think that's what we'll be this year. This year isn't about winning all the games. It's about building confidence and learning what we've got to do. But looking at that later schedule and it's not horrible. We've got the eagles and chiefs....that's scary, but then we've got the cardinals and cowboys at home...and it's the cowboys in December. When have they been scary in December? And we've got division games in there as well. I think we'll do ok. The more I look at it, the better I feel about it.
