Bijan Robinson also single handedly stopped Anderson dead in his tracks.  I have a feeling Anderson is not going to be what people want him to be.

Bijan made alot of dudes look silly, I get your point but I still like Anderson he's a well-rounded rusher with speed and power in his tool belt. His production in the SEC should not be overlooked as well, not many dudes can put up the numbers he can.

We were talking about Ian Thomas, not Washington. Heel31ok thinks Thomas just needs more opportunities instead of drafting a new TE.

oooooo my bad

yeah I've never watched a football player move or act less like a football player than Ian Thomas

its not that he's bad (he is), it's that he doesn't look like he has any idea what he's doing at any moment

As far as TEs go, I am more inclined to either sign a FA or draft one in the mid to late rounds than I am to draft a TE high. Damn near every good TE throughout the league was a post 3rd round pick or didn't get good until their second team/contract.

It's probably the hardest position in the NFL to play and there is really only two or three truly Great TEs in the entire NFL right now (Kelce, Andrews, and Kittle) and none were high picks. The difference in talent between TE 1 to 3 is bigger than the difference between TE 3 to 15.

The position is such a crapshoot. I just assume sign Schultz or Gesicki and have average play rather than sit on a prospect and hope he pans out to be average one day.

Except kelce was a high pick

Kelce was a 3rd round pick. Top 100 for sure, but that's not a first or second rounder.

You can get TJ Hockenson level production from a guy in the 4th or 5th round without using a first or second round pick.

TE is seriously ridiculously hard to scout.

I like him, but not enough for our 2nd round pick.

Before the DJ trade and not landing an ILB today I was interested. Now, if Downs/Zay/Hyatt or Trenton Simpson falls to 39 we gotta take them. Worst case we can get Eric Ebron for the vet min to mentor Tremble and Ricci. The major upside for Darnell would basically adding an extra tackle to the run game every down instead of subbing Cade Mays or Erving in for the Arby's package

He made alot of guys look silly...as a pass blocker?  I'm not talking about running the ball.  And Anderson had a running start.

Didn’t understand the context, do you have a link the the play your referring to?

Not sure if anyone has seen this but here are the combine highlights for TEs. Darnell looks pretty damn good to me.  4.65 40, looked the strongest of the bunch and has great hands. Great one handed grab at the end of the video. His stock will rise because of his athleticism. Looks to be a great red zone threat.

FYI… Mayer was the slowest of the bunch.

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
