Same for sanders, fewer weakness in each of their games. They are the types that dont come off the field.

Schultz and his agent, got honey dicked.

I just watched his "highlights". Dude seriously winces every time he's about to get tackled. Not interested in a tall glorified slot receiver, we just got Thielen to basically be that guy

Not to mention that dallas system is uber TE friendly. League spoke loud and hard this FA period. I bet some agents are going to get fired over the dreams told to the players. Schultz should have taken that 3 yr 36 off, if he did Im not sure sanders would have signed here(i bet foreman for 3 would have happened).... For sure his first year hed gotten more than 9, plus LOLOLlol texans?!?!? good-luck improving your stats there, brother......

which im truly wondering why... would it be economy related? Is the league trying to bring down prices of players? Pretty wild stuff.

Look no further than what an average franchise qb contract cost today. Look at the contracts handed out to them the last few years and ask yourself how can you build a complete team with the money left.

You are seeing where this is going in the future.  If you hit on qb you only have a few years to sound him with talent before you have to dedicate a large portion of your salary cap to 1 player.

The rookie has about 2 years by my estimate before the Panthers have another 1st round pick to replace his ass if they are in the same situation as this year.

If they have not made the nfcc game by then I doubt Reich and Fitterer are around to take the next swing.

If we're still picking in the Top 10 in 2 more years, we could be looking to draft someone new again, but depending how the college game shakes out in that time, I think they play it out for one more year.

That next draft class could have Arch Manning, and let's be honest, if he pans out as expected, I'd LOVE to get a Manning at QB, hard to argue with that bloodline right now.

Also, I don't think we have to have made an NFCC game in the next 2 years, playoffs, sure, but not that much in 2 years, that would be an incredible turnaround.

If you listen to the interview between Adam Theilen and Pat McAfee they are thinking SB run. The bar is high on this crew and if they are not there by year 3 or at least very close I doubt Tepper will tolerate anything less.

I can see a very real scenario that we win a weak division with a rookie QB going 9-8 and then follow that up with a 10 or 11 win season that even with a first round exit, I don't think they'd get fired over that.

After how bad we've been under Tepper, two playoffs with improvement in each year, they'd be solidified even with a down year after that I think.  Would need to bounce back after that for sure, but if we improve both of these first two years, especially with a young QB, then I think it buys then another 2 to see what they can do.

I said by year 3. By the end of year 2 they better be nfcs Champs and win a couple of playoff games.  If they are not trending up by the end of year 2 with the new qb then things will get uncomfortable in BOA.

I wonder if it has something to do with the QBs getting most of the cap increase each year--

    • I am gonna believe it wasn’t us if the 4th round pick price is accurate. We needed 225 points to get from 19 to their pick. 875 at 19 to 1100 at 14.  Our 2026 4th was valued at 56 points I think. A future 4th has less value. So that wasn’t close to enough.    It would have taken our third and our fourth. Comes within a point of even.    Now, moving to their spot in the second round we could have done but after Miami took Rodriguez why would we?
    • Yep,and Blake Miller have had more experiences than Freeling,Lions did not sigh a vet T like Walker,so they had to pick Miller.
    • I mean it's expected.  This is the NBA.  And they hate the Charlotte Hornets.  Flagg was also the guy "magically" given to the Mavs who lost Luca to the wildly popular Lakers.  Was always an uphill battle.  But the award is BS since it's not voted on before play-in starts. Kon probably lost because of the play-in as many people switched votes.  It was a regular season award, so this is some nonsense.  Kon also didn't have the luxury of taking 10 games off to rest up injuries like Flagg did.  If he did, he wouldn't have been nursing his back the last month.  I mean, screw him for being on an actual playoff team that matters.  Flagg took tons of shots a game, he was wildly inefficient.  Kon was a huge reason the Hornets made the play-in and turned the season around after Jan.   I think Flagg will probably be the better player long term, or at least the most impact.  But Kon should have won ROTY.
