Only position we really upgraded was TE. We replaced CMC AND Moore with Sanders and Thielen. Both downgrades.

The team still has questions to be answered at QB although we have the no 1 pick.

I think you might be high on the hopium, which is fine, but you're definitely in the moment.

They for sure upgraded RB sanders >>> foreman

Plus added a starting NT in tuttle.

Bell plays a better safety than Chinn.

Dalton is vet and knows his role. (unlike the darnold vs baker deal)

Traded for the #1 pick

Bro thats lots of stuff and improvement across the board. QB room too.

And absolutely an upgrade at TE in Hurst

Here's my strategy going forward.  We draft Jalin Hyatt in the 2nd (if he's there).  Then next year, we sell our souls in order to move up and get Marvin Harrison.  Whatever we have minus Brian Burns, use it.  So for the next few years, Stroud will have Harrison, Thielen, Hyatt, TMJ, and Hurst to work with.

It’s definitely been the most exciting and entertaining by far if you count the trade up to 1

If its not the best (I know thats TBD), but I can not think of a better one, can you??

........ I maybe on a hopium high at this time. Just by history standards, theres not been much of signings.... Like Ma'ake Kemoeatu would be the head liner if past years leaders were still around....

    • I like the approach Morgan takes in free agency where we fill holes with at least serviceable players and use the draft for BPA. So, I expect us to bring in a Safety, 1 really good LB and 1 kinda so so vet LB in case they lose faith in Wallace, an edge rusher, and with ickey's injury I think we will be the team that overpays for a LT like Rasheed Walker with the plan to move him to RT depending on Ickey's health and how long Moton wants to play.
    • Look at Rashid Saheed contract for 2024. He was more productive than Coker but probably a good reference. I think it was 1 year 5.2 million.
    • I expect the same strategy as we did last year. 3 year deals for guys around 25 to 28 years old and have the cap number be lower in 2026 and back load the contracts for 2027 and 2028 when our cap space is 100 million in 2027 and 360 million in 2028. With the years of terrible drafting this team had under Rhule and Fitterer and the lack of picks from all the panic QB trades has made it where we have few long-term contract commitments on the roster.  I'm sure there's probably some restructures and cuts we can make to give ourselves some more room this year if we need it but overall, our cap situation is in a good spot under Dan and Brandt.  I think we'll be pretty big spenders again this year. With us making the playoffs and being in a weak division I see Morgan being pretty aggressive this offseason.
