Bears would have accepted Moore, Burns or Brown.

If true, I'm shocked we didn't send them Brown.

Nothing against him, particularly as he looked great last year.

But we made the trade to draft a QB at #1, having him a reliable #1 like DJ seems like a more important position to still have filled than a DT/DE.

Is DJ a #1 WR? He was one of my favorite players, but I feel like he was a great #2. He wasn’t a huge TD threat and would disappear some games with bad route running. Granted he had bad QB play which makes it hard to judge.

Hopkins killed it with worse QB play at Houston that’s a true Alpha DJ Moore imo had the skills to do it he just doesn’t have that killer mindset to take that next step

Look at the QB's he had since he joined the team a washed Cam, Bridgewater, Darnold, PJ, Mayfield...

He was putting up 1000 yards with those QB's. Yes he is a true #1.

If the dude had a elite QB he would be talked about as a top 5 WR imo.

I like DJ but honestly any WR that gets 100-150 targets is going to get 1000 yards. Chark did it in 2019 and he got 500 yards on 50 targets last year. Thielen does a lot of red zone work so his yards aren't as crazy but his TD's are higher

That’s kind of how I feel. I’ve seen DJ taken out of games by solid defenses or CB play. You can’t really take away true WR1s IMO. I’ve had him in fantasy for several years and it’s hit or miss for elite production.

And even with that Brown was a force last year. Imagine when he has more run stuffing DL around him.

I can see it. My problem with Brown is a DT picked it in the top ten should be a QB killer type. Not just a run stuffer. He’s had one really good year in the NFL now. Let’s hope he builds on it and adds another element.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
