Inside the NFL leaving CBS/Showtime/Paramount+

I remember just waiting breathlessly until Thursday nights as a kid to watch Len Dawson and Nic Buonocoti(sp) dissect the games back in the early 80s. That NFL Films footage and the fantastic soundtrack and voiceovers... man it just made the game greater than it was.

Hate to see the show has become orphaned again and that it has gotten worse for the wear.

Yeah since leaving HBO, it has been garbage.

HBO is losing ground…I personally can’t find a reason to keep that sub since Game  of Thrones.  They didn’t plan well.  Flat out quit watching Last of Us.  Too boring

Inside the NFL back in the day was the greatest show ever.  Man that was the glory days for HBO.  NFL films footage is an American icon of sports,  damn so great.  I can hear the soundtrack in my head even now, so amazing

I love all the murder mystery mini series they do. There’s another true detective coming too. Succession and Industry are great. Then all the classics like Sopranos or The Wire

I get it free with AT&T so that helps.

Just for House of Dragons and Succession alone its worth every dime, but I also get it for free

Barry last season starts this week.

Tons of good originals on HBOmax

But can't see Warner/Discovery getting into the NFL game these days. While it is an inexpensive show to put together vs other productions... don't know if they'll feel it's time to bring it back.

Could see Amazon making a play, to supplement TNF. Or maybe Peacock, because they could pair it back up with Collingsworth.
