Who Wears What Number? (Future/change of pace thread)

Hello hope everyone is doing well watching all these episodes of “Where the Panthers Turn?” When it comes to who we are drafting.

Ive been reading but too busy to post lately but I have a fun change of pace thread.

What numbers do the QBs wear if they are drafted?

If it’s CJ Stroud does he buy 7 from Shaq or does he do what I think does and goes #1

I think Bryce is easier because I think he would take 9 because Matt probably takes back 2 this year

Richardson? I think Shenault changes numbers anyway so I think 15 will be available

Stroud is the biggest puzzle imo so what say you huddle?

I think Horn ends up with 0

I think the pick will be Stroud and he’ll be given #7 by Shaq, he won’t even ask for anything in return.

Shaq is only back because we worked out a new deal instead of cutting him.  For a rookie QB #1 pick, I think he’ll just give it to him, seems like a vet move he’d make.

Richardson wouldn't pick #15.

I assume Corral would want some of Young's signing bonus to give him #9. Same with Thompson and Stroud with #7.

Richardson was 2 all through high school and his first year in college before taking the The Golden Calf of Bristol 15. So i could see him swapping back to 2.

Stroud feels like 7 has always been his number, he'll probably pay up to swap it if he has to I'd bet.

I think Bryce wore 5 for a bit in high school, could see him taking that if Corral doesnt swap or doesnt want to. I have a feeling he'd give up 9 and move to 2 if asked.

Horn looks like wears 0 now. His jersey always bunches up right at the midpoint of the 8 and looks like a 0.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
