Did the S2 TEST take CJ out?

I’m a big Fields fan and lots of folks here hate him and he scored in the 90s on the test , too. I don’t think the test is important. But for folks boosting the test as important it should show them that Justin would be killing it if given time to actually make plays and had NFL caliber players on his offense.

Yep, you do raise a good point in that the inverse is true as well ... people boosting the test to be important because their favorite prospect scored high on it.  It is interesting and make you wonder what unfounded things we all value or devalue that could be influenced by other factors.

I feel like most people in this thread have no idea what this test is. Especially the guy who said he took it online lmao. It's proprietary and as far as I know, nothing else out there like it. From their website:

Athletes perform a 30-45-minute evaluation on a specialized laptop computer that measures how they process and make split-second decisions in their sport.

I don't think anyone is taking this test on some random website online.

Next up.....a bunch of us took the test at the bar last night, during happy hour.

We will see how he does with more weapons this year because his processing must be skewed by anxiety or something because every game the Bears had a chance to tie or win late in the game he always and I mean ALWAYS threw an interception.

Right and we do have to consider the team around him since they didn't exactly do him any favors last year.  There are just so many factors to consider when evaluating a player's performance that its hard to single just one aspect out.

It’s lying season so who knows what he scored.

I'm sure the teams do.

But it's worth remembering that this is a test of only one aspect of the game. And while it's an important one, it's not a be all, end all.

Just as an example, what good is being able to process information quickly if you can't throw an accurate pass to your target?

Kyle Bailey said he reached out to league sources about this “rumor”

Said is was “Bad”. Didn’t feel comfortable saying the score.  Also said Source stated our Front Office really is high on this S2 thing.

He played a clip from the Houston media.  They’re “sources” mirrored what he’s heard.

Said from his sources down on mint st

We don’t have a problem with Bryce’s size

Kunkel said that our whole entourage was blown away how Bryce Commanded the room when they met at the combine and Pro Day.  And Blew them away on the visit

For those acting like the S2 must not be that big of a deal because it’s been around since 2015, well I don’t think you’ve given it much thought. It would take years for the nfl to take it seriously because you would need for a player to play for a few years and need multiple draft classes so you can look at the data more. It probably took years for people to even take it seriously and I am sure a lot of your older front office people wouldn’t take something new seriously.

I wonder why he said "bad" but not the score?  I mean everyone pretty much assumes the worst now.  I'm sure he is telling the truth, I just found that part odd.  Plus if it was just a rumor you would think Stroud's agent would step in and release the real score at some point right?

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
