I'm trying to wrap my mind around the logic of because Cam got his throwing shoulder destroyed within the pocket that means if we draft the smallest QB in the NFL he'll play 15 seasons.

Tagging the wrong guy because I have huge concerns about how Young will hold up in the NFL.

TJ Watt? Ring any bells?

The shoulder was after the KB lazy route/interception and super Cam has to run and try and tackle the guy.

TJ was just another cheap shot that went unflagged. It hurt him though, but not like the shoulder ultimately did

I was referring to the post you quoted. Seen the argument applied so many times. Because Cam at his size had a shorter career due to his shoulder that means a 190 pound QB will play over a decade. It's fine to support him as the pick and like his attributes. But using Cam's injury as a validation is just lazy. One fluke hit can change everything that's the nature of the sport. It's cool that people want to assume the refs will protect our QB but consider me skeptical at best on that notion.

KB was long gone by then my guy. Cam was being talked up as an MVP candidate again when we were 6-2 before that hit. Sucks but that's it.

Actually rippadon is right about Cam's shoulder dude.

"The shoulder" happened that day, not in Pittsburgh

The injury that resulted in the rotator cuff surgery happened that day. Cam was still slinging it in 2018. If you're arguing the Watt hit wasn't the final straw for that shoulder we'll just have to agree to disagree. No problem.

    • I believe Lloyd will elevate not just the whole unit, but also whoever his running mate is. Wallace is still very young, I think he's only 23 with two years of exp now. Cherelus can handle starting, he's just fighting with staying healthy. Kuwatch I think is going to be a contender after a couple week of understanding the system.  I mean Lee will be against..... what nearly 10 NFL-level WRs, he's going to get work and its up to him if he can hang.  I think its fair to expect 12th +/- 3 or 4 spots.  You know this, it boils down to how healthy everyone stays.....cause if dbrown, horn, Lloyd, Michael Jackson, or tervon miss extended time.....no way 10th can be reached. IF all the names above remain haethly, I do think 10th should be the goal. They are a young unit and added talent to a 16th ranked unit. Its time to march forward!!
    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
