He will give a BS answer "We are comfortable with the feedback we received from teams as to where Young will be picked and didn't want to waste anyone else's time."  You know the usual...

If it is Young and essentially has been since the combine, that is exactly what we did to CJ and Levis today.   We wasted their time.

they know. they've known for a while. like i said before, they've been doing due diligence and digging in to see if there is any real reason to not draft him or someone else who is a better option, but in their heads they've known. individually they've known but they just aren't saying for sure, but they said it's getting easier to tell what the other is thinking and they are on the same page.

people can deny this and tap the brakes on it all they want...but they know what they are doing and who they are picking.

I definitely think they have ideas, but when they say the final decision isn't made I don't think they're lying.

When they say they didn't want to contaminate the process by settling on a certain player too early, it makes a load of sense. Mentioned before that Shanahan and Lynch did the same thing in San Francisco when they took Lance.

(I just really hope we make a better decision than they did)

They've known since they got in contact to try and make the move before the combine.

Sheena did asked a question about that.. But I guess they are with Frank, Thomas and the rest of the offensive staff..

I know there had been word that Levis at least was scheduled earlier and then had to be rescheduled for some reason.

Might be true of Stroud as well. Don't know.

I don't think they've told anybody because I don't think the pick is made yet. They've repeated multiple times that it isn't.

"Leaning" maybe, but nothing definitive.

If they stay put at #1 it's probably pretty definitive at this point who they are taking, regardless of what they are saying.

Now the part that might still be debatable, is what would it take to move off of that #1 pick.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
