my point is that its extremely irregular for an owner to be that involved in the process

Idk if I were the owner of a billion dollar team and was about to make an investment into a guy who I hope can be the face of my franchise for years to come I'd wanna be involved in that.

If an owner was going to a pro day for a DE or Running Back or something I'd think that'd be weird but I understand the owner wanting to know as much about a guy who his team will be associated with to the national media.

Plus, if Reich and Fitt are making the decision as they've both told us they are then meh, who cares?

RG3 was 6 feet, 2 3 / 8 inches at the NFL Scouting Combine and he weighed in at 223 pounds.

Where are you getting this small narrative from? He was bigger and stronger than CJ...

Weaknesses
  • RG3 has a slight size deficiency and could have some durability issues if he is hit enough times

One of the knocks you'll often read about Griffin is about his size — listed at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds. That's a similar size to Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, but he doesn't take hits like Griffin does. Because of that, you'll always wonder about Griffin's long-term health.

  • Could use some more bulk to handle hitting

Then CJ is fuged if you are taking that as gospel.  CJ is a half inch taller than RG3 and 11 pounds less....

My question to you who tf reminds you of RG3?

I mean I kindof laid it out albeit sarcastically on the 4rth page.  Sorry you are having issues with reading competency.

RG3 - concerns about his frail frame, synder was the last owner to personally go to a pro day, Synder pushed to move up to draft him

Young - Concerns about his frail frame, Tepper (and his wife) personally go to his pro day, Tepper pushes fitt to move to one.

Summary:  We are fuged

why does Tepper’s wife bug you so much ?

if something happens to ole Dave, she is THE owner  better she be involved than not

and hey, she isn’t the one who hired Rhule…,that was her husband’s brilliant idea

Tepper wanted Fields. Also RG3’s injury had nothing to do with his frame. Burrow tore his ACL, Smith broke his leg, Teddy tore his knee to pieces. These are leg injuries from twisting and turning the wrong way, I’m not sure size has anything to do with it…

Now why couldn’t Stroud beat Michigan?

He Fail New York Knicks GIF by Indiana Pacers in the big games. Yeah, the playoff game was sort of important, but you know the alumni and OSU fanbase wanted the Michigan game more than the playoff game especially since Stroud and Co lost in 2021 too.

Joking(maybe) aside, dude just couldn't handle the rush last year. Stroud played fairly well in the first half but in the second Michigan started getting in his face and getting a few hits on him, especially in the late 3rd and early 4th. That's all it took to force Stroud to make some mistakes and cost them the game.

Stroud had the same issue in other games throughout the season even though OSU won them. That's why people said he couldn't play under pressure or handle the pass rush. It's also why so many thought the Georgia game was such a revelation. The playoff game was Stroud's best game of the season bar none. That said, even Georgia didn't get to Stroud a lot that game. OSU's line was freaking elite last year.

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
