There is a special on mental health that was done at Bama.  Bryce was sort of championed for normalizing the help.  Which is a good thing.  I mean, these are humans.  And football at the end of the day is just a game.

Young spoke on the pressure when he got there.  About being in a bad place mentally when he got to Bama (things weren't going his way for the first time really in his football life) and seeking help for it.

huh? How come this was never talked about prior to the draft? This is literally the first time I've heard anything about this.

Wow looks like the season of Huddle manchildren bumping old ass threads to brag about what big smart football boys they are has arrived early this year

Interesting that I got warning points back in the day for bumping a thread where people were shitting on Cam pre-draft and how bad of a look that was, but now it’s totally cool to do that to poo on our current QB.

Before the seasons started we stated it was going to start of rough but hopefully by the end of the year look a lot better.  Reich has said multiple times that this year is about developing Young.  Even if we wanted to compete having Young play through an ankle injury isn't smart.  Look at the issues Burrow is having because they played him through a calf injury.

He also said the playoffs are the floor

Watch this, anyone who was over in the now-locked thread. He wasn't suicidal lol. But sounds like he needed someone to talk to due to not being the starter.

if they wanted him they would have traded with the bears

They didn't want to give up what we did for him.  Young was their top choice.

Adam Shefter confirmed the Texans were very close to trading up to 1 in order to land Young vs any other QB.  That's how much they preferred him.  Raiders wanted him as well and inquired about trading up.

Right but if you believe that then you have to believe the report that he was off of draft boards because of his size.  See how that works

Jim irsay also brought up Bryce specifically. The idea that we were the only ones interested is beyond false

They locked the thread when it was a totally valid statement. Wouldn't make up stuff like that.

Yeah there are 32 teams.  He listed 3 that wanted to trade up to 1 for Young.  Panthers, Raiders, and Texans.  Any of the other teams could have him off their board.  I don't know what you are so defensive about this?  These aren't 3 well ran franchises anyway....

No way a team that drafted another QB preferred Young????  These posters are going to spin this and jump through so many hoops to try to deny it.

the texans picked stroud because they had to. sometimes that's enough to get the right guy. remember who was picked ahead of peyton manning? we don't need to fabricate theories to justify how inpet the panthers have been. it's been two games. we all (most of us) defended cam through all of his lows for years. bryce is our guy now and it's clear the franchise is doing him no favors currently. it sucks to watch stroud light it up but that doesn't mean poo for either of their career trajectories.

it's hard to be patient. the memes are funny but my gripe is and will continue to be with the front office and "all star coaching staff" that nico....i mean david tepper's brain trust assembled.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
