They never do… it’s a lesson we chose to learn though on our own.

No chance. He wants the $90M extension that Lawrence just got. We have $35M in 2024 cap space and that’s without Burns, Chinn, Luvu, Chark and rookies. At least we won’t have a 1st round rookie to pay. That includes the little rollover we have left. If we want to keep Brown, we can’t spend that much at DT.

Exactly! Plus Dalton signed a 2 year $10M contract that is essentially a 1 year $6M contract and is a 36 year old man with > $100M career earnings. You gotta imagine that retirement crosses his mind on a daily basis. If we really need a roster spot, we can stash him on the practice as a protected player.

Agreed! I cant see any value to teh team in cutting him outright currently. Develop that kid and see if we ever need him with injury or if he looks good in preseason or ever has to come into games and looks good, all of a sudden we have trade value if we do not need him.

      I miss many of the OGs like @ladypanther Zob had a bad off week and came in here to do some mopping and a couple of the 10 year 15k post account he just banned over a silly disagreement, just odd behavior from Zob. A Pessimal deal happened with Lady and others. I tired to find a new forum and could not get around the signing up part...same for discord. Its not perfect here by any means, but I still feel welcomed here for the most part and this place does have the most freedom. I hate how the right vs left BS nearly cooked this place, I still believe in removing the litterbox, toxic as hell and lollolols @ anyone coming into a team forum to talk about pointless politics of the uni party turds.  @Bear Hands you saved this place with your activity. It helped offset the lost of OGs and the knowledgeable that leftd.    It would help for new members and I do get the spammers deals, just got to mod them away and hope opening the door brings in fresh blood.

      That seems about right. No higher than that for a bottom third qb with two years left, including one expensive year. He played well enough last year to show he is startable. It depends on whether other teams thought he has any upside left and whether he's been hindered by coaching and surrounding cast. I think most teams would answer no, but if they thought he could step it up just a little I could see trading a fourth or fifth for a bridge guy/top tier backup.
