What does winning feel like?  Its been like 7ish years since I vaguely remember something to that effect

i 100% believe we're getting ready to experience that again. i haven't felt this good or this confident about the team since Cam got here.

I hope we dominate this year. I feel like we will(especially with our coaching staffs track record) but I have a nagging suspicion otherwise, not a big one by any means, there’s just something that keeps nagging me out the messaging on QB’s so far. Next year we will be getting a division title for sure.

What messages about the QBs is causing you concern? Everything has been good so far.

I've said it before...there's no one that scares me in this division or on our schedule this year. Everything is lining up for a good successful season.

Just how they are dancing around not not committing to giving our young prodigy the reps during camp.(mind you I haven’t really paid attention since just after the draft as the canes were playoffing until last week so if the coaches have said otherwise I missed it). I worry about daltons ability to stay healthy. I really think Young is a first year into the fire QB and I don’t want to see us dancing around the subject. Like I said there is a good chance I missed something. Just can’t shake that feeling.

You've obviously missed something.

They've been giving Bryce the majority of the reps since the rookies and the vets have been together. They said they'd do as such during their pressers shortly after the draft, and the beat writers have written about how Bryce has gotten the most reps out of the QB's and has basically split or possibly even taken more 1st team reps than Dalton.

I know you've said you've been out of the loop but yeah I don't think you have to worry about them not committing to giving Bryce the reps because everything so far has indicated that they have.

They said he's going to be getting the most reps and he has and no one is talking about him being anything but the starter. Players and coaches have been pretty open about it. He's the guy. They haven't danced around it in the last 2 weeks and even then no one was buying it

Yeah, you don't make a huge trade up to #1 to draft a QB to have him sit and wait his turn behind a washed up vet. Dalton was signed as a vet mentor and a guy who could hold down the fort briefly if the rookie wasn't ready week one. When we signed Dalton, it seemed like we were gunning for the #3 spot, not #1. We only shifted focus to #1 when we figured out that the cost differential wasn't gonna be that much. Richardson would've likely been the guy at #3 so we had to have a vet onboard to ensure we weren't forced to play AR before he was truly ready.

But with Young, those concerns are out the window. The guy is ready. We'll see how the physical tools translate to the NFL but there are zero concerns with him being mentally ready.

I agree with everything said here but one small correction, we traded for the #1 pick on March 10th and Dalton was signed on March 14th. So I’m sure by the time Dalton was signed, he knew what the deal was and they had been in talks for the #1 pick well before then.

This is part of the reason I can’t wait for the behind the scenes video to drop this year. So many interesting things happened this off-season that I wanna know more about.

    • I've literally never one time said having a 200 yard rusher wasn't good. There is a monumental difference between saying that and saying "don't excuse Canales' continued poor play calling because our RB did something special" Having a 200 yard game because you had 160 yards on 6 of your carries is because of the RB, not the play calling.  Again, look at the literal title of this thread, it's about the play calling problems, not anything else. This is basically the same thing as everyone going all googoo gaga over Bryce's last few games last year and thinking he turned some corner.  No, he didn't, he had a handful of good to great plays but on the whole still wasn't very good, and people fell for that Mirage. Same thing, just about something else this time instead of Bryce.
    • My rankings would be 3s for both. Absent availability, Freddie would not doubt be in Tier 2. And, despite last season's slump, I still believe Kucci is on his way to being a high level starter in the NHL.
    • Yes. I went to those games instead of selling In 2018, it was hot  as hell and the Panthers had some ‘entertainment on the side of the stadium, like a street fair…I have never seen so many seriously obese people, men and women, in cowboy leggings and shirts   I swear, it was traumatic  I said to my friend with me ‘dear god, Cam. In the name of all that is holy, please win  this home game, if you never win another one, to shut these people up.   I stayed in a hotel sat and Sunday near stadium. Sweet Jesus  obnoxious …of course, when they lose,, there isn’t one sign of cowboys anything   worst fans ever,  they will be in Charlotte in force because even at the escalated price in Charlotte, , it was still cheaper than attending in Jerry ville
