2023 Charlotte Hornets Summer League

The Hornets Summer League schedule kicks off on Monday and we’ll be playing in both the California Classic and Vegas Summer League. The roster and schedule are linked below:

The roster includes James Bouknight, Kai Jones, Bryce McGowens, Brandon Miller, Nick Smith Jr., James Nnaji, Amari Bailey, Xavier Sneed, Leaky Black, Angelo Allegri, Nathan Mensah, and Kobi Simmons among other guys.

I believe Mark Williams just had surgery which is the reason for his absence, no word on why JT Thor isn’t playing.

One exciting note is that Surenkamp is no longer the coach.

Summer League tips off on Monday at 8:00PM against San Antonio on ESPN. Wembanyama is not expected to play, no word on if Miller will play.

Hopefully we have someone that can be a decent facilitator for the offense this year or its just gonna be another summer league full of Bouknight ISO ball

We are. He didn't chicken out like Wemby.

 

Looks like we chose the right guy. Miller is a baller. Wemby ducking smoke early on not a good sign. This was the biggest matchup of summer league #1 pick vs #2 pick on ESPN and he said no thanks.

That’s a strong starting group for summer league.

Only thing im focused on with Miller in this summer league is his ball handling.

 

Some say he will be a guard others say forward. How he handles the ball will determine which position he starts out as.
