Just how much time did Bryce have?

Stats can be very misleading.  If anyone here thinks that Stroud just sat there scanning the field for nearly four seconds I've got some great oceanfront property in Colorado I'd like to get off my hands.

If I were a Texans fan, I would say "Well, looks like Stroud is better at buying time".

On top of Jordan getting to play, the coach emphasized how vanilla the playcalling was. There was no scheming, layering, stunts, just super vanilla offense. Then they were rotating lineman every series to see what and who did what for depth. I thought this place was different from the Facebook morons who lose it and knee jerk their way into torn ligaments, but I come here today and Zod is on here talking about a 1-15 season. Preseason means nothing and you can go 0-3 before having a decent season because it doesn't mean anything! I can't believe the way some of you are acting.

If someone throws up the interception in here you'll clearly see he literally was sitting back there with time to throw but also he may not scan the field like our guy because he's just not Bryce but on that play he definitely had time to scan the field and his choice was a rookie poor throw. No biggie but that's what happened he had plenty of time to throw.

    • Yuck.  I still kind of like Herbert but these playoff performances are rough....
    • I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.
    • We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
