Two preseason games and first team has mustered 3 points.

Young might be good but he’s not Cam, he’ll never ‘will’ the team to victory, he’s going to be a great system QB

Defense got smoked by a Barkley’less Giants offense

 but yea it’s preseason

I know it’s preseason but there are disturbing signs here. Tackling is horrible. OL is real bad. We don’t appear to be well coached like we are lost out there

And if the Panthers had gone into preseason with the goal of 4-0 and scheming every game, I'd be pissed.

2008 Lions, 2017 Browns were preseason 4-0 winners turned 0-16 regular season losers.

2009 Colts were 1-3 preseason losers turned 14-2 regular season juggernauts.

Y'all are quite funny if a respectable team actually aims to win each preseason game. It's more encouraging to see weaknesses since that means a good coaching staff will have that on tape and actually scheme around that.

Now come regular season if the coaches don't use this great opportunity to adjust for the Panthers weaknesses, then can them.

But for now, it's preseason and last thing that matters is how we scheme in scrimmage.

A lot of good dominating the Bills in the last preseason game last year did lol. You're 100% correct.

Perfectly stated.

What game are you watching? Preseason regular season or flag football. These guys aren’t good.

    • This.  He knows where the seam is about to open, cuts, and accelerates hard. He’s slippery and tacklers always seem to be taking awkward angles to get to him. No dancing. Runs low and powerful. Almost never goes backwards for a loss. We’ve rarely had the guy who bounces off of tacklers. It’s nice seeing another one.
    • I can't speak for others but yes I read it. The conclusions are based heavily around the use of the statistical metric DYAR created by football outsiders and used by ESPN for this article. It only includes players whose production began in 2000. But excluding HOF running backs who produced BIG in an iteration of the NFL that was not yet catered to making things much easier for offenses in order for them to prop up more recent candidates is rather absurd and seems like just playing favorites regardless of where one might fall on their opinion of the use of the metric in question.
