Can Kunkel please cover the Houston sports area and leave the 704 alone. He was spittin' speculation a couple of days ago and now trying to break news that pisses into his previous reports.

Same with this assclown -

"No suprise"....hahaha. Joe's been peppering pressers all week and using words like "murky" to describe the likelihood that he plays. Poor choice of words.

Everything comes in threes, so I'm assuming Newton will slide in soon by calling our QB Vince or Steve or something along those lines.

/endrant.

WOW!

Jay Glazer just said we are not even close on agreeing to a deal with Burns.

They might put Burns on the trade block. Although it makes no sense to play him and risk injury. None of this makes any sense to me. Im shocked Burns is playing if we are that far apart on a deal.

Jay Glazer said he may go on the trade block?

Him playing is because both he and the team expect a deal to get done to keep him here, imo, even if they're apart now.

He is going to be super motivated today.  Today sacks = $$$$$$$$$$$$

Wouldn't be shocked at all if that's how the conversation has gone between his camp and the Panthers. Prove it. Show me. You say you're elite and worth elite money, go out there on Sunday with it all on the line and show me.

It sure is going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.

If they trade him, fitterer might as well just resign. I don't think there's any way a trade happens.

A trade could definitely happen. But I think Fitterers leash is longer than people think.
Panthers are trying to fix what Rhule screwed up. So if next year has a bad draft/season Fitt could be on the hot seat.

Fitt knows he cannot trade him and keep his job.  We are way past that point now, burns has to get paid

Where is the information that trading Burns would = losing his job.
Feel like all the Fitt hatred is on from the fan base and Tepper and the front office seem to be fine with him right now.
It is all speculation.

A trade could happen but if he gets lesser value then what the rams were offering then every damn fan of this franchise would revolt and it would just get ugly.  Fitt knows he has to get this deal done or he is toast.

I am too tired to revolt. Ya’ll handle it. I just want it to be over and if we can get a first round pick back I say go for it. Maybe even get a quality player as well.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
