Dalton isn't going to light the world on fire... the offense is terrible and it isn't because BY was the problem.

No, but he can be a game manager and that's all we need in winnable games.  The idea that #1 picks especially at the QB position can't sit a portion of the season is moronic.  They AREN'T ready for the NFL and rushing them out there only shakes their confidence.

I don't have a problem with him sitting, I'd prefer that to an actual injury (I'm not sure which it is).  More a remark to the random people claiming the offense will be great now.

It's not out of pride. If anything it's out of a sense of self preservation. What I'm saying is that Tepper values Bryce's development ahead of a playoff berth this year. Reich surely knows that; Fitterer damn sure knows that.

Reich benching Bryce would only serve as a signal to Tepper that either he's incapable of doing his job or that Bryce is a bust. In either case, it wouldn't be to Reich's benefit.

This is a fan take.

It's not the way professionals in competitor sports getting paid millions of dollars to produce think.

No GM or Head Coach in the league values "rookie development" over wins. That's what training camp and preseason is for.

If Young gives us the best chance to win he's going to take the field, if some how Dalton lights it up and the offense looks night and day from the previous two weeks, you're going to see more Dalton going forward bottomline.

Mahomes sat and watched his rookie season that didn't seem to slow down his development.

I love how Andy Dalton has suddenly become the second coming of Tom Brady in the eyes of half the board.

The assumption that he's going to "light it up" is laughable. He may have a good game, but even if he does he's still not the future of the franchise.

Looking forward to seeing Andy play. Bryce can use the time to regroup and regain his confidence which you can see he has lost a bit and he looks tentative and won't chuck it down the field. Sitting should help him take stock and get ready to jump back in in a few weeks. I think the staff doesn't want to David Carr him and this is one way to help him without making it obvious there is an issue

2 games in and he has lost his confidence.  Got it.  we traded all of that capital for a mental (and literal) midget, the gift that keeps on giving

Quit gaslighting,

Nowhere did I mention Andy Dalton was the new Tom Brady or the future of the franchise.

I simply stated if he goes out there and produces we might not see Bryce for awhile; you might not like it, but that's the reality, it's a results driven league, and people careers are on the line, winning is what matters not trying to develop a rookie Qb.

    • ast updated today 19th May 2024 Some people are unsure if Sugar Defender  is real, so here's the truth: there's no evidence that it's a scam. The company clearly lists all the ingredients and doesn't make wild promises. Instead, they support their claims with scientific studies. They have research backing up what they say about Sugar Defender's benefits. Even if some people are skeptical, there's no proof that Sugar Defender is fake. It's important to look at the facts and see that the company is being honest and open about their product.         Order Now Sugar Defender and Get 85% Off   The best part about this supplement is that it's really easy to use, and you don't need to do anything extra to keep your blood sugar levels steady. Plus, it's all-natural and made safely to address the main cause of blood sugar problems.   How long does it take for Sugar Defender to work? How fast Sugar Defender works can be different for each person. It depends on things like how fast your body works, any health issues you already have, and how often you use it. But since they give you 60 days to try it out and get your money back if it doesn't work for you, it's likely that most people see some changes within that time if they use it like they're supposed to. For the best results, use it for at least 90 days.   What Is Sugar Defender? Sugar Defender is a special formula that helps your body respond better to insulin. It's made with the purest ingredients. Every ingredient has been tested many times to make sure they're the best, and the company says there are no stimulants, chemicals, or things that could cause allergies in it. They make it in a super clean lab that follows strict rules. The goal of Sugar Defender is to naturally lower your blood sugar levels and keep them steady and healthy. It's a supplement that won't get you hooked and doesn't have any stimulants or GMOs. And guess what? It's easy to use! Each bottle has enough for a whole month. Just take the right amount every day, and you're all set!
    • Agree on Necas, he’s gone. Guentzel seems 50-50 to me, Canes would have to pony up. Still not sure Skjei will be back. From exit interviews he seemed less optimistic than Pesce and I definitely don’t think Pesce is back. Jarvis and Noesen have to be back. I think if Kuzy shoots more he could be a great asset. Put him with a passer like Turbo and a net front like Noesen.
