Goff is eating the saints defense right now. Wouldn’t say the falcons are all that on defense after watching this.

Neither team impressed me when we played them either - we just couldn't get out of our own way.

People are searching for reasons - supporting cast, play calling etc when it's clear the problem lies at QB. Dude isn't it - it's a show me league and he's already shown he's going to massively struggle at this level.

TCU were a fairytale story - they were always the imposter in the Playoffs.

This. Michigan just didn't show up. They beat TCU with ease 9 out of 10 times. I expected TCU to get best bad in the championship game but I didn't expect them to take possibly the worst skull draggings ever in a high level championship game. That looked like UGA was playing a bad D1AA team.

Eh, playcalling is some of it. Maybe because the playbook was suited to Bryce I don’t know. We’ll find out later today though.

Minshew is good enough to legit start for somebody. You can't tell me there's 32 better QBs.

The smart thing to do last offseason, once we ruled ourselves out of the Carr sweepstakes, was to sign Minshew, sit tight at #9 and let the Draft come to us.

Instead we are where we are.

    • That argument could be used for actual trolls. “If you don’t like it find somewhere else to post” is just silly. Some of us are just letting you know, you are sounding like a broken record on these threads. It’s just some constructive criticism. You don’t have to change your ways. I doubt you will. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. Feel free to deflect and use one of those GIFs again.
    • It went from he has to jump to he has to bend his hips. That’s changing it. I showed you clips of him throwing deep without jumping which means he doesn’t always have to. I liked and like Stroud better so I’m not really a Bryce defender. Just think you don’t have to make up things when critiquing our QB like he has to jump to throw it deep. There is plenty of ammo there without those exaggerations. Oh yeah the “you don’t know ball” argument. Classic.
    • I get the rookie QB formula and fully expected to see it implemented. Oh well. For the run game there was no or very little under center stuff until a good ways into the year. At least that is how I am remembering it. And no deep throwing - so stacked boxes which you can say chicken or egg on why.  Hard to run like that.  The QB that people said was so great was pulled for a designated Hail Mary thrower. That’s pretty unusual. And may speak to why we saw few deep balls in some part, along with the OL. To ignore that stuff means you aren’t working with all of the information when you try to mentally model or project what it might be like on the field.  Me, I have a slice of hope that he could maybe be NFL average but getting him to be a plus type of QB is a huge job. It depends on designing the playbook with certain values at the foundation that have to be adhered to first . You have to integrate the other pieces around this one guy’s skill set because he is a real outlier. And he has to learn the under center skill set. Maybe put that Only Positive thread back up people can go there if they don’t want to deal with rightly frustrated fans.
